Let's share our unexpected NSV's!
Hello little Miss Sknny!
I have to say this past weekend I had a BIG NSV. I did yard work for the first time since surgery. So yea,I haven't worked in the yard in over a year and a half. Now that I am in a house I am able to do yard work. I was just amazed at how easy it was and also very theapuetic. I remember doing yard work was heavier and it was more like a chore. I did it this past weekend and I enjoyed it. I think I might have even found my new addiction!
I worked several hours in the yard and then it started rainning on me. I was so motivated I stood out there in the pouring rain and finished the job.
I think my neighbors must have thought I was crazy... standing out in the pouring rain shearing bushes and raking wet leaves. I loved it though and thought the entire time how i used to not be able to do this.
Anyway, I had to respond since I just had a NSV experience this past weekend.
hugs,
j

Remember at Christmas the size 14 coat I tried on, and bought a size 10 for next year? I brought it to my friend, Clawdy's and tried it on to show her...it FIT! I buttoned it and everything! I'm going to have to wear a sweater under it next year. LOL I tried finding it in an 8 with no luck. Oh well, Who'd a thunk it?!? Not me, that's for sure.

I've had one so far..and I was so surprized that just losing the 24lbs for surgery qualification (doc requirement) made a difference. Hubby and I own a small 22' cab-over motorhome..use it to go camping with our carving club. 2 weekends ago we at a camp out, and I was making lunch when Lon decided to sit at the table..on the other side of me...very tight quarters to try to pass in LOL At least it used to be! No 'suck it in' to pass...we both laughed as we held out breaths and realized we didn't have to squeeze anymore. He commented on how different it will be when he 'loses 1/2' of me.

Speaking of "butt's disapearing". I have noticed that the seam on my pants (the butt area) is really uncomfortable! I am now sitting on the damn seam! How do these skinny people sit comfortably? lol. I am thinking there may be a butt implant in my future! hahahahaha

I love my RNY! Find me on myspace myspace.com/bebe_girl209 but be sure to tell me your from OH!
Oh! I LOVE, LOVE ,LOVE THIS THREAD!
Here are a few of mine... You know we all watch QVC as a guilty pleasure... well I was watching on their spring fashion day of designers... I looked at their size chart... low and behold their size XS is too large in the hips for me... as their smallest is a size 4! I would be a size 2 which they don't even carry... I remember a time not too long ago that their size 3X or 28 would be too small for me! Now, I can't shop for their bottoms! Maybe an XS or S top only if it's form fitting in juniors now!
I remember how difficult it was to shop for 3X plus as everything would cling and reveal parts I wanted to hide. I would NEVER consider color or patterns or stripes vertical or horizontal. Now many styles and sizes swallow me up... I still need to watch for patterns and cuts of slacks as only juniors low-rise fit my new body. I'm on the complete opposite spectrum of sizes. Weird is all I've got to say. But, I admit I love being a skinny *****!
This time of year I would begin to dread... knowing it was soon to be sweat season. Not anymore! I sweat when I workout and love it! My sweat pours out from different places too... like where it should... lol!
I went to show my ID the other day when making a purchase at Kohl's and the cashier said, "Wow! You've changed!" and asked me how it came about, she was inspired. And the weight on my ID read 190... like that was even true! This July I state my true weight on my ID... looking forward t0 that day! That'll be a first!
I've set goals for myself and thankfully worked hard to achieve them. This life change has by far been the most uplifting and inspiring of my lifetime. I truly know I can achieve and surpass any future goal I set just as long as I keep my eye on the prize and move forward each day.
Thank you for posting this thread! I can't wait to read more of the responses! Yeah!!!

My three favorite ones are 1. Fitting into size 36" pants...even went way back into my closet and pulled out my old college bellbottoms!! Can you dig it! I've gone up to about a 38-39"...but still under 40"...I use to be 50". 2. Climbing up a staircase 2 step at a time...like a kid or a teenager. 3. Why is my bathtub taking so long to fill?? I've taken the same bath for 17 years in this thing...Why does it take an extra 2 minutes to fill??
OoOoOoOoOh let's see....Got into the car yesterday and couldn't figure out why I felt so far away from the steering wheel when my seat was in the same position it has always been in...Had to move closer to account for the missing belly.....Also, it has been months since this one but it is still a goodie...I was eating and dropped a piece of my food and immediately looked down at my chest assuming the piece of food would fall into my cleavage as it always has because my boobs are gigantic and get in the way of everything...the food had fallen on my lap! It flew right past my shrinking bosom and fell on my lap!!! Right on!!!!!!!!! Mostly it is the everyday occurrence of me thinking I can't fit into a chair when I can, or that if I walk across that wooden bridge it will collapse when in reality it won't..It is very hard to change your way of thinking..But it sure is fun to remind yourself you are half of what you used to be! Great post!!!
And what are these hatchlings you speak of??? Hahaha
