Turkey Taco soup is freezable.  Not sure about Ham and cheese.  But is does keep in the frig for awhile.  I do believe that you can eat the soups the whole time.  I will have to recheck the book. But by tomorrow, you should be kicking the carbs and feeling in control of your pouch and life.   You will love the egg muffins and tuna patties.  I have to keep Perry out of them whenever I make them.  He was on NutriSystem and wanted my food also.  LOL

My husband does that also...he eats whatever HE feels is his healthy eating plan for the day...THEN he sees my higher protein meals, which I weigh, measure and make enough for my meal, so I  am not tempted with leftovers...and yet I find him taking a spoonful here or a taste there.  Lol.   I get so frustrated and tell him..That is ALL I have to eat for this sitting..lol  He thinks if he takes a bite or two..it saves me the calories...I tell him..that BITE is HALF my meal..lol  Gotta love him...

Hi Leann,

Reading about this 5day pouch test has me curious and motivated.  I'm going to try this but I have a few questions that I couldn't find answers to on the website.  Cream soups......can I have store bought cream soups like cream of mushroom or cream of chicken?  Canned meats......I don't really like any canned meats are there any other suggestions for day 3?  Also, I didn't see the recipes for the mock breakfast burrito, mock egg muffins and cranberry turkey roll-ups.  Do you have these recipes?

Thank you for sharing your experience with all of us.

So happy to see the Sexy Sylvie!!!

Canned cream soups are full of sodium and fat.  These recipes are much lower and have the glycemic index going for them.  And more filling than a normal soup.  You family should like them also.  Canned meats - when I get, I put in collander and rinse.  Or I find chopped ham or slices and chop them up.

Mock Burrito

2 eggs or egg substitute

1 oz cheddar cheese, shreded

2 Tbsp refried beans

1 Tbsp salsa

Put beans on plate and warm in microwave. Spray cooking spray in pan and scramble eggs adding cheese at the last minute.  top beans with eggs and salsa.

Turkey rollups

1  pound deli style turkey, reduced sodium, sliced

4 oz crean cheese with chives and onions

2 Tbsp cranberry sauce, no-sugar added

Place two slices of turkey and spread with 1 tsp cream cheese spread and 1 tsp cranberry sauce.  Roll tightly, secure with toothpick and place in refrig. Cover with plastic wrap.  Can be cut into snack size pieces.

Mock Egg Muffins, I posted yesterday.

Have a great Day!!!

Wendy's chili is starting day 3 and beyond.  The chili is considered low on the glycemic scale.   You can also have refried beans - low glycemic and protein dense.  Be sure to take no more than 1/2 cup at a time though.    Breakfast could be 1/2 cup refired beans, 1 cooked egg and a spoonful of salsa.  Turkey soups, and protein shakes, would be taken between meals day 3 and beyond.
