OT: Sad News

I'm sad to report that my best friends dad, who was very special to me and I considered my other dad, passed away this morning from cancer.  He put up a brave fight, but we all knew he was going downhill fast.   I plan on heading out here soon to go down and help with arrangements and whatever planning is needed.  Just waiting for Lauri to let me know what / when they need me.

Keep the family in your prayers.  And me.  This is hard - really hard.

You are in my Prayers and Thoughts and all of his family.  I am so sorry, for your loss. I know it is very hard to lose a Loved One. Please let us know if we can do anything.
He is at Peace and out of pain !!!!

Its not easy losing someone that you have known for so long. 10 years ago on the 27th of this month, I lost my dad. Cancer is an ugly creature. I have seen first hand what it does to the body. We mourn for our loss, but think of the peace he has now. All we can do is pray, that the emptyness gets better to handle in time. I will hold you and your family as well as his in my prayers. Please be careful as you travel to where you need to go. I am so sorry for your loss.

Sooo sorry to hear of your loss...I've lost 2 very close friends in the last 2 months..and it hurts!.  Sending a huge hug your way...and you're right up there at the top of my prayer list..right next to Marcy.  Be good to yourself and don't forget to take care of you during this stressful time.  God's peace and love to you and your friends family.

Thank you all.  The prayers especially.  I know he's in heaven now next to the Big Guy watching over all of us.  He had a good long life and was blessed the end came quick and didn't linger too long in extreme pain.
