So I'm a little over a week out and doing pretty good. Hopefully at a month, dr will advance me, and I will be able to have *gasp* cereal! I was looking into Kashi GO LEAN... I know a couple people who eat this... but I'm looking to get a broader perspective.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? =0)

Thanks guys!

Hi chickie!!!  I think that Kashi stuff tastes like sh*t, prolly even worse than sh*t!!  Ever since I was allowed to have cereal, I have stuck with honey nut cheerios.  My doc said that was fine by him.  BUT, the problem I had was that I could tolerate the cereal eating it dry, but as soon as I added milk to the equation, I got sick, sick, sick because of lactose intolerance.  I have never been a huge milk person, but after WLS, I became lactose intolerant.  Even to this day, 5 years later, milk still gives me a problem a lot of the time.

Enjoy your Kashi (YUCK!!!!!).  Hugs to ya!

I eat the Kashi Go Lean. It has 13 grams of protein, so along with the milk, I get about 20 grams of protein for breakfast. The cereal is rather bland, so I use 1-2 packets of Splenda with it and it's fine. Good luck! =)

I am a month out, and I have been chicken to try cereals at this point, but if your Doc clears you and you are comfortable, then go for it.. Just listen to your body, you know you best.

Good Luck,
Jenn
