It's REAL! I'm not dreaming! LOL
I know this is going to sound silly...but I just got a phone call from the hospital...to verify info for my admission to the hospital for surgery...and it fully hit me...I'm really really gonna do this!!
All this time I've been playing it down..just knowing that something is gonna come up and I'm either going to have to postpone it or cancel it or some other stupid thing. I'm not a negative person just progmatic...don't get too all excited about something til it actually happens...but this is becoming REAL!! LOL I was so disappointed when I got my surgery date..it was 7 weeks away..and now it's only a little over 1 week away...where did the time go?? I'm sure I'm the only one who didn't think it was real..NOT...but I just had to share...I am soooo excited and scared to death LOL..obviously, I'm a 2-sided person

Just a note from an old Nancy to a new Nancy (in time on this board only),
Have a great and safe surgery. Then enjoy your new sense of never being hungry and actually not wanting to eat. It is a wonderful feeling. I highly recommend Starbucks nonfat, decaf, sugar-free lattes as a great source of liquid and protein; they truly saved me.

That's great news. Yep time passes by so fast and the next thing you know its gonna be here. Advice to you, stay away from anyone who is sick now, wouldn't want to see the surgery be cancelled because you came down with something. I had 2 wks of hell not being able to kiss and be close to my hubby, since he was sick. Make sure your stocked up on protein powders or pre-made drinks, sf jello and sf pudding. Low fat cream soups or split pea soup. Those are part of my first 2 wks of food intake after my surgery. Please get in your fluids, don't get dehydrated. I wisk you an uneventful surgery and a quick recovery.

Nancy you know it all hits us in different ways when we get to the realization that whoa our lives are going to dramatically change. It is scary and exciting all at the same time if that makes sense to you.
You are not a 2 sided person...believe it or not you are perfectly normal! I would well we would all be worried if you did not have these feelings!
You know we are all here to support you and you are going to do super fantastic!
