Hi all..after reading all the positive feelings and results, I am going to do the 5-day pouch test also......I will have more free time to work on me ,now that my husband will be back to work (new job, sorta of same career) after a 4 1/2 month Federal Officer Retirement. (he stayed home from almost the day of my surgery). He got underfoot alot and was always around chatting to me..including at the dining table...and where do we tend to eat or snack...right there, infront of dining room TV.  So join me if you will in
GROUP 2 of the 2009 5-day Pouch Test Crew..lol
Holla!!

Hi Kim,

First, I want to congratulate your hubby for his new job or maybe I should congratulate you for him finally getting from under your feet.  LOL....

Anyways, the 5 dpt was GREAT!!!  I lost 3.5 pounds and it wasn't hard at all.  You may have seen some of the recipes that Leann posted...the Ham and Cheese and Turkey Taco Chili soups are wonderful.  I am going to do regular menu this week, but I will be doing the 5dpt again the following week.  I have 5 pounds to go to my doctors goal and I go see him on the 23rd so I would love to get as close to that weight as I possibly can.  Also, my DH and I are going to Tennesse on the 26th and I have not seen my dad since my surgery...120 pounds ago...I bet he'll be surprised.
The 5dpt, really brings you back to basics.  Also, I swear my tummy went back to the original size after surgery.  I was always so full and I couldn't even finish my protein drinks.

You are going to do wonderful!!!!  YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Hugs, Michele

Hi Michelle..I am so happy you will get to see your Dad as the new YOU.  He'll love you just the same, but get to hug you closer!  I wish I had done this years ago so I could have shown my Mom the same thing.  She was so petite, she couldn't wrap her arms around me.  I used to have HER sit on MY lap..lol
Thank you for the congrats...Hubby is off to work in LA, a bit further than I'd like.  He spent 20 years driving back and forth to LA (downtown) and then the last 3 years working in San Bernardino.  I hope he falls back into the routine without too much anxiety..he had become so relaxed with his easier drive.
I hope you can watrch us in the new crew "do our thing!"..lol
many Blessings...

Hi Kim,

I will join you! I really need to get back on track, with food, vitamins and my water intake. I recently had surgery on my foot but as soon as that is healed I need to get off my butt and exercise.
