Go Figure..........I Forgot. My 6 Month Surgiversary!

Well folks, yesterday was my 6 month Surgiversary!  My goodness I have come a LONG way in the last 14 months!

14 months ago I quit smoking!  YAY!!!!  And, I haven't looked back even once.  Boy, that was a nasty filthy habit.  Disgusting!

6 months ago I had my last Diet Pepsi.  Holy Cow I drank a lot of them!  I am happy to report I am still Caffeine Free and Soda Pop free.

I am down 121 pounds and 84 inches!!!  I weighed 297 when I started this journey and this morning I weighed in at 176.  I am headed to 150 so that leaves me 26 pounds to go!

I wore size 24W relaxed fit jeans and a 2X top.  I can now wear a size 10 skinny fit low rise jeans and a size medium top.   I haven't worn these sizes since high school!  OMG!

My skin is firming up.  I still have some droopy saggy places but............ plastics will take care of most of it.  I know I want my arms done and a tummy tuck and the old man wants to buy me a brand spanking new set of boobies!  But, will get to goal weight and keep it there for 6 months before embarking on that journey!

Thank you all!!!  Without my OH family and the support everyone of you offers I dont think I would have done quite so well!  Thank You!  Thank You!  Thank You!

Congratulations Mo,

This whole WLS is quite amazing isn't it?  I totally feel what your saying about the quiting smoking and diet pepsi.  I personally was a diet Coke aholic before surgery.  And I too am cigarette, caffeine, and soda free.

What a lifestyle change huh?

Keep up the good work.  "weigh" to rock that tool girl

congratulations Maureen! You are such an inspiration to me..I too gave up smoking 5 years, 4months ago...my blood pressure dropped like a ton of bricks..couldn't believe the affect smoking has on your body.  Your pictures are awesome to look at...gives me the sense of "I CAN DO THAT TOO" too ^_^  Drive safe to Sac and my thoughts will be with you at the furneral. {{{HUGS}}} to everyone involved...a sad time but a good chance to remind each other what he did to make you laugh and smile. Wow!!!  A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to you.  Your anniversary, quitting smoking, AND giving up Diet Pepsi.  You deserve all the happiness that is in your life (except the funeral you need to attend)!  I wish my significant other wanted to buy me some new boobies       Drive safely.

Hugs to you

I didn't list some of the most important accomplishments!  My pre-diabetes is GONE!  My blood pressure is PERFECT!  My cholesterol is FANTASTIC!  My sleep apnea is GONE and they no longer want to put me on a CPAP machine (which is what kicked this whole journey off!) and I don't snore like a trucker anymore!  I have more energy than should be allowed!  I mowed the lawns yesterday and didn't even break a sweat.  Last year at this time I was huffing and puffing and sweating like a pig pushing that thing across the yard.  My goodnes..........life is good!

MoMo!  Congrats to you!  OMG 121 lbs in 6 months that is amazing.  I am like you cig free, and soda free.  I do tea and coffee though.  I think they are going to bury me with a coffee pot and huge supply of coffee!  I just love it.  My goal after plastics is to win a wet t-shirt contest at 60!  I also want to get all the beads at Madi Gras.  My husband first said I could not go then thought about it and said "I Better go with you"!  lol.  Good choice.  I still have about  62lbs from my calculations  37 from the Plastic surgeon guy and and 87 by my doctor.  I personally think my doctor is nuts.  so I am going to stick with 62 that number works for me.  lol.  YOu go girl knock them dead!  You and I have to sit down and plan the Disney trip.  Give me a call sometime.  If you PM a few days ahead with the day and time you are calling I will make sure I am home!  lol. Or make sure the teenager kid is off it!  lol  Have a super day.
