Welcome to day 1 of the 5-day Pouch Test-2 Crew!

Welcome all involved in Round 2 of the 5-day Pouch Test. (or Pouch Rejuvination as I like to call it)...may we all have a successful week.
Its hard to think that at only 4 1/2 months post-op that I'd feel I need to do this.  Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) I have absolutely no negative situations from my WLS.  I can eat everything with no reaction.  Soooooooo, that means I've succumbed to a few bad habits...mainly grazing.  95% of my grazing choices are allowed nutrition, but I have worked in some sweet treats, a few fatty treats and way too many allowed treats/foods.

Leann has posted the menu plan on her last weeks posts...just go back and see what she has suggested...and on some recent posts she repeated some information.  I do not have the direct link to the program plan at this posting, maybe someone can update this post with it......thank you.

Today I have already caught myself reaching for things...unconsiously...I am now and will always be victim to this action.  (Hello..my name is Kim and I am a food addict).   I already feel uplifted with my few hours of Day 1 and I know from the past 4 months that I can succeed and SO CAN YOU!

My surgeon told me a couple of weeks ago that a few more pounds lost for me will result in some accelerated weightloss (finally) due to metabolic syndrome and my decreased need of insulin.  I am focused!
Join me then, won't you..for a cleansing week...and again, success to us all on the plan and continued success to those "leading the life".
Many Blessings...

You can do This!  I've been thinking about you and group today.  Planning is your key to stopping the grazing!    Just to let you know, the Day 6 and beyond plan is working for me.

Protein pudding and protein jello.  Where to buy or how to make?  Can you take regular sf pudding mix and add protein powder to is?  I need this stuff!!!!!!

I actually answered you and it is gone!  Protein pudding is Unjury's pudding recipe on the 5day site.  I will have to recheck what I typed about gelatin..  Ready made protein pudding is Stallone (yes, sylvester) pudding.  I have seen it at Vitamine Shoppe.  Protein powders are not all made for cooking or making with other things.  I always have Unjury unflavored on hand.  they also make a chocken broth.  Better end this beter OH cuts me off again!!!  LOL

High protein gelatin

1 pkg s/f gelatin

1/3 cup dried (powdered) egg whites

Prepare according to pkg. When gelatin is dissolved, add egg whites until dissolved.  Do not substitute liquid egg whites.

Here is my challenge this week Kim-

We are going tent trailer camping from Thursday to Monday.  I am trying to think of things I can easily take with me that do no require alot of refrigerator space.  Hmmmm...  I lose another pound this week, and i do not want to gain it with camping and snacking.  Oh how I long for a smore!!!  LOL  But I have high hopes that I can incorporate some recipes for me.  Turkey rollups, for one. I will do it - I am inspired!!!!  BTW - there are only the 2 of us going.  So if I do not buy it, it does not go.

Okay, so this is what I get for missing the boards for a couple of days.  Sign me up for the 5 Day Pouch test, just a day late and a dollar short. But I am game.  Lets just say my Nascar weekend binge (3 weeks ago!) cropped up some bad snacking habits.  I am ready to go and even pulled out my leftover protein pudding from Vitamin Shoppe.  Nascar Kim in Apple Valley
