Need food help.........Please
Greetings all,
Well at my last doctors appointment, he was pleased with my progress and everything but he wanted me to eat 4 to 5 small meals a day, problem is that I am not hungry.
I eat small portions as it is for my meals and even one meal is a Carnation no sugar added drink in the morning. He does not want my body to get use to the amount of calories I am taking in so I will keep burning fat. Any ideas????
Have great day everyone..........Rick

Rick,
Think of it as taking a pill or medicine 5 times a day. You have to do it whether your hungry or not. I have the same problem. I am just finishing my two weeks of liquids only. and making sure I get 60 -80 grams of protein in + 64 oz of fluid has been tuff. But I deal with as needed medicine. This whole program is kind of like the AA program. It Only Works, If You Work It.

Rick...try a cup of hot tea or broth before you start on a meal. It will relax your pouch enough to make room for your meal..always protein first ofcourse. In time you will be able to gauge by what your food is, how much you can take in without needing a bit more room. If I am having a soup, soft beans, hot cereal, or something like that I have no trouble eating the reccommended amount...but, if its a meat (solid, firm), then I lose my eating desire within 5 bites or less. I also found that if I wait 10 minutes between being full from just a few bites until I can ingest a bit more, I can finish my alotted protein requirement. This process of taking in some warm liquid also adds to your needed fluid intake. I start out each moring with tea in a cup that holds 24 oz. and I enjoy every drop, then I can eat a breakfast of WLS champions! Just a thought...good luck
