Good Thursday Morning Cali

Good Morning,

Janine-that is one heck of a shout out!  Props to you for remembering everything that has happened with everyone here on the boards.  Thank you so much for the shoutout and for your concern.

I have been debating whether or not I should try to do the Pasadena Half Marathon on the 22nd.  It is still up in the air.  I got to get my act together.
I know I have to go back to basics.

Two nights ago, my brother told me that he had a dream about me.  I had moved out of my apt. , relocated to San Bernardino, made a surprise visit to their house at 9pm and was driving.  Last night he told me that there was more to the dream than when he first told me.  He toggled back and forth from telling me later to never telling me.  (Don't know what that was about).  I love him, but sometimes he is strange.

Anyway, take care.

Kim

Without struggle, there is no progress.

Good morning Janine and all the rest of you wonderful people.

My hands are still a tad sore but I believe it's because I had then done so close together. Going to the pulmanary dr. today to see when they are going to do the cat scan. In 2006 they found calcification on my coronary arthery and he wants to check it out and see what kind of risk factor I am at for stroke or heart attack.   Oh fun.

Next week I go in for an upper endoscopy to see if there is scar tissue from my ulcers to see if that may be the reason i am unable to eat.We shall see. Then tomorrow I have hand therapy. I must say I am getting out more often but only to the dr.'s offices. I am so tired of dr.s

Well why I am feeling a little better I thought I would pop in and give you some of the run down in my life.

I wish you all a wonderful day and an awesome weekend coming up..

Take care everyone and I hope to be back more often.

Lots of love and ginormous Hugs,

I will write again soon

Jodi

Thanks, Janine. I know 4 is a good number, I was just psyched for more. But, I'll take it!

I tried to up my protein this morning by adding some unflavored protein powder to strawberry yogurt. (On a side note, I found these "Carb Master" yogurts at Ralphs - 6 oz; 1.5g fat; 4g carb(1g fiber, 3g sugar) and 12g protein.. they taste yummy, too) But anyway - I about threw up on the kitchen counter. Me thinks I added to much protein powder LOL I'll have to keep taking the amount down until it's to a palatable level!

I am starting a blog on blogspot of my WLS journey. I have been writing in a journal since almost the beginning, and my hand was getting tired of writing, so I decided to try typing. It goes much faster that way! Anyway, we'll see how I keep up with it. Now don't get me wrong, I'm no eggface =0) But it's a good outlet for me.

Today I am going to go walking again. I went for a solid 1/2 hour yesterday, and that's good for me - at least since surgery! Boy was I pooped in the end, but it was worth it, so I'm doing it again! I downloaded "First Day to 5K" PodRunner podcast on my iPod. It's really good, but I haven't starting running (or jogging..) yet. Mainly I'm just dragging my body around!

Anyways, that's about all for me today. I hope everyone has a great one!

Hey Janine...an evening post instead of my usual morning...but thank you for the acknowledgement on my weight loss.  I waited til now to post so I wouldn't be counting chickens before they hatched BUT...big drum roll here!!!  I am down 27 1/2 lbs Officially!!  My new scales MATCH the doctor's office Yeee Hawwww....no more wondering where do I 'really' stand'...how close am I to the doc's office....Dr Judy was very happy cus I'm 6 1/2 lbs below surgery goal wt that she set out for me...and surgery is still 4 days away ^_^  She answered a whole bunch of questions and really set my mind at ease.  Lon went w/me and on the way out, we talked to security to see where we could park the motor home so Lon would have a place to sleep over nite; unless I get a private room, he won't beable to stay in the room overnite; and chances of getting a private room with Kaiser is slim to none lol  and driving home (2hrs each way)and then coming back the next day to pick up me up is a waste of gas and the traffic...well, let's just leave it..it sucks at best ;-)  And the VERY best thing from today?  I don't ever again have to wear these baggy 'weigh day' pants again !!!  I'm sure all of you know exactly what I'm talking about...the ones that are the lightest weight, you  wore them the first time you weighed at the doctor's and every visit since...just to be sure you were having your weight recorded 'correctly'...no error because the weight of the pants was more (or less)...I didn't wear jeans to the visits because they weigh 2lbs more!
To all of you facing the possibility of job loss my heart goes out to you.  I count my blessing every day that my job is not in jeopardy...I will have all of you in my prayers that if in fact your job is lost..that another door and opportunity will open...much better and more secure than the last. Hugs to everyone!
