I wanna hike. Santa Clarita search/rescue fundraiser

I am not sure if I am going, but if my body went south and I passed out, at least I know the s/r team would be around to save me.

I want to hike but nobody will go with me the distance I want to go. grrr. I want to take a big bottle of water, a bag of edamames and dark chocolate and walk for miles. I want to go to the opening event tomorrow to just see what it is like and get the shirt and the maps.

Anyone else?

I wish you would have posted something about this earlier I would have loved to sign up.  But now I have so many commitments I could not, but I really would have lvoed doing this.  Can you post early next year and I will commit to joining you .

I did not read about it until it was in the paper on Friday. Actually, I have a million obligations today too (actually, only 2) and I won't be able. whaaa.

Anyway, I found a santa clarita meetup that do hikes around here. And there are dozens of trails here to go it alone. It just would have been nice to do it with members of the s/r team, as they can save me when I break my ankle or faint. LOL
