I'm up and moving!
Well, I'm bacckkkk.. LOL Yesterday was a whole different story but today I almost feels normal...except for this train sitting on my chest..must be where the surgeon fixed the hiatal hernia I've apparently been suffering from some years now. I'm sipping and walking and started the rest of my life rountine at 6am this morning...man, is there alot of stuff to get down before I go to bed tonight! But so far, so good..water, jello and meds are staying down and not causing any pain. I am sooo blessed!.
Speaking of blessed, My Angel Barb is one fantastic angel and a kick to talk to you. Thank you for your time the nite before Surgery, Barb..what a reassuring phone call....I was so at peace before surgery. And to talk to you afterwards...i haven't a clue what I said..probably sounded like a bad drunk LOL Thank you to all of you on these Cali boards...and for all your kind words of encouragement and support...I felt so good about the surgery because all of you made it sound so uneventful..which it was! Thank you Thank you!!

Hey Nancy....go****'s good to see you posting already. I'm so happy everything went well, just as we knew it would.
Are you still thinking of going to the Lodi support group on Saturday? I am torn between going there to meet you in person or going to the Brentwood support group (where your angel Barb will be). I haven't figured out what I'm doing yet....which isn't all that unusual!!!
Sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk....you got it!!! Again, we're all so happy to welcome you to the loser's bench!!!

Not sure about getting to Brentwood this week...hubby says he would feel more comfortable going the shorter distance to Lodi...but oh, it is so tempting to try to make it to meet both you and Barb! If Barb's schedule permits, she is going to try to stop by the house on Friday as she will be in East Sac that day...my house is a mess..but I'm not exactly in a place to clean..but then I never am! LOL Thanks for the words of encouragment! You guys are all great!

My best to you, my friend! Now... sip, sip, sip!!!

It is such a good thing that you are up and around. My doctor said I could go bungie jumping after the surgery if I wanted to, but he also said most people choose not to! I chose not to, but I did choose to be up and around quickly. It was less than a week and I was walking a mile or two. It was awesome! The more you move around the better it is and safter it is for you. You are doing an amazing job. I am so proud of you!
Keep up the good work.

PS I won't be bungie jumping either...my dogs balked at the height!

Thanks for the compliment. I don't know if you heard, but Momo is coming down in May! Maybe you could hook up with her and join in on the fun down here. She is staying at a first class hotel and everything, it is called Rhonda's house! I am sure she would not mind sharing the room as she has ordered the suite and very easy to put a 2nd bed in. Think about it as it is going to be a fun trip at the end of May. I don't bungie jump either and it is not even on my "bucket list". My husband loves it, So no worries there! lol

Glad to see your smiling face on the board. You bet I'm coming on Friday, can't wait. I will call you once my meeting is over.
So glad you are feeling great and on your way. We had a great talk your night of surgery, and you didn't sound like a bad drunk! LOL
See you Friday afternoon! Remember to walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip.
Hugs,
Barb
