Air Force One Landing

The building I work at is in Long Beach and it just so happens that our parking lot runs parallel with the runway at long beach airport.  I have to admit.....it was pretty cool watching Obama's plane land.  It was so close.  HUGE plane :)  very exciting.  I got some great pictures that I will try to get up here later.

I used to work at the Auto Club offices there as a Roadside Assistance dispatcher. I loved being able to take a break and watch the planes! The strangest thing was on 9-11, I went into work later that day and there were no planes going in or out... it was so quiet!

Air Force One landed at our little tiny airport here in Redding last year.  OMG!  It was awsome watching it and the security is incredible!  We had 2 guys up in a bucket truck and the cops came by and told 'em to take it down.  We climbed up on the storage trailer and watched.  All this was pre-surgery so my 300# big butt climbed up the ladder and stood on the cargo container. 

Watching that big ole plane land is awsome!

My computer is still broken.  I have a dear friend that has been letting my borrow her laptop.  I am still waiting for my brother to fix mine. or at least tell me whats wrong. 

Yeah, it was pretty cool.  We are so close to the airport that we even had Secret Service Men on our roof top.  pretty crazy.

The laptop I am currently borrowing is a MAC and I am so used to PCs  it's hard for me to figure out the whole downloading pics thing.  (damn it....where is my son when I need him?  LOL)

I am so looking forward to meeting you when you come down to So Cal.  You have the best sense of humor than anyone I have scene in a long time.  Well.. you and Rhonda.  LOL

Hey LInda - that is way cool...I actually thought about driving over tothe airport then when I read the paper yesterday morning about all the security (which of course Iknew there would be) but also that there was no parking on Lakewood BLvd, Spring st or anywhere I figured oh well - so I watched it land on TV but at least I knew that it was close..lol...I can't wait to see the pictures...

And I have to agree with you I can't wait for Mo and RHonda to come to coffee - I better warn Starbucks though huh...at least they have a couple months to prepare...lol

I used to live and work in Long Beach.  Worked at Stockmar International on the Lakewood blvd side of the airport.  It was a blas****ching the planes come in.  That was about a 150 years ago really!  lol  I so miss my Long Beach.  Jean Yes you better give them a heads up, they may need to have extra security and sippy cups for us!  lol.  I just can't wait till she gets here.  I hope everyone is saving May 31st to go to Disneyland with us.  We would love to have a big group.  Maybe Diane can wear her purple rinestone Thong that I still have here at my house?  That would be cool.  Let us know as I have a freind who can get discount tickets for us.
