Finding a support group

I am working towards having gastric bypass surgery, and would like to find a support group to attend.  However, I work Monday through Friday, 1 pm till 9 pm, and my surgeon's support groups only meet during the week in the evening.  Does anyone know of a support group that meets in the mornings during the week or on weekends?  I'm in the San Fernando Valley.  Thanks!

Thank you!  Yes, I would like more information.  It's so funny that in a place like L.A., there are no groups that meet on days or weekends!  When I started searching, I found several that meet in the San Francisco area and in Sacramento -- which, of course, do me no good!

I just want to have all the support I can in place before have the surgery -- I'm currently waiting, and hoping, for insurance approval.

We have a Saturday meeting this weekend in Rosamond, just in case you are interested. It's a bit far for you maybe but you are very welcome. Let me know if you need more info.

How often does the group meet?  I'm unable to do it this Saturday, and I don't know where Rosamond is!

Because of family obligations, my weekends are a little tight, but with a couple of weeks notice, I can make arrangements.
