Skiing Today

I HAD A FLIPPIN' BLAST!  Everything went well.  There is a HUGE difference skiing with 130# less of hindering fat!  My feet didn't hurt, walking up the hills were easy and making all my runs was easy.  It was a total blast.   Our tailgate party was great.  Burgers and chips.

It started to really snow around 2:30 so we headed back to town.  Changed into street clothes and headed to Sportsman's Den.  I bought a helmet.  Seeing how some people ski and not wanting to get creamed by any of them and end up with an injury, I spent $75 and protected my brain.  It's totally cool looking helmet and has some nifty graphics on it.

At mom's house waiting on dinner.  Roast, taters, gravy and carrots.  Then I'll head back on down the hill to my two sickies.

Checking in later.

How exciting!  I went skiing 2 weeks ago for the 1st time in 21 years & I had a blast too!  You are exactly right - 85lbs ago I would have been absolutely miserable.  I still had trouble getting up when I fell, but that's just because I'm getting OLD!

Hey Mo....so happy to hear you got some skiing in before the new storms rolled in. Was hoping you paid attention to the weather forecast LOL  And so delighted to hear you had a helmet!!  After reading about Natasha Richardson...would hate to hear it happen to a friend so close to home.

Hope your trip home went smoothly...and I hope the sickies get well soon!

Hey Redding buddy!

I'm jealous, I haven't went skiing in 23 years!  The snowboarders would scare me now LOL

So glad you had a blast and good thinking on the helmet too.

When you coming down this way again?  We have to rally.

Hugs,
Barb

That is great.. Glad you had such a blast..  And hey $75 dollars to protect your brain is all well worth it.. Especially if you do everything right, and that one crazy person doesn't and takes you out.  Good for you for playing it safe..

Hugs,
Jenn

I was in Disneyland..  I am sorry I didn't have time to say a good-bye before we left, and I didn't have any time to get to a computer, so I was not on the whole time.. I wrote a post explaining some of our trip, but other than a few bumps in the road, we had a great time..

I am sorry to have scared you, but it is nice to know that I am thought of like that, loved and missed.. (wipes a tear from her eye).  Next time I will make it a point to let everyone know I am leaving. You are not the only one that was worried..

I AM SORRY ALL FOR MAKING YOU NERVOUS.. I AM FINE AND HOME AGAIN.. YEA!!!

Hugs,
Jenn

Ok dear.........you're off the hook!  I was seriously starting to wonder where you were!   I read the D-land post and glad Joey is feeling better.  Dehydration was my first thought when I heard he wasn't waking up.  Yikes.  Well, I"m outta here for a while to drag hubby off to the doctor.  Snot-head has been sick now for 4 days and doesn't want to do anything but sleep so I'm dragging his whiney butt to the doctor.  Geeeze...........being married is like having a kid that won't leave home!  Glad you're back and ok!  I booked my trip to so cal and bought my airline ticket for May 28 return June 1.  WoooooHooooo.  Gonna go see my evil twin Rhonda and see how much trouble we can cause!
