Good Sunday Morning!

Well, goodafternoon MoMo and Cali guys and Gals,

My internet went hairwire, Iwill share more in a moment, so just getting on here from laptop now.  Boy am I tired.  I had this support group for deaf foster parents last evening.  You are not going to believe when these peoople left.  2:30  this morning.  Even the bars close here at 2:00 am and people go home, I htought these people would never leave.  I put my children to bed, I took all the food and drink off the tables, and counters.  I left and did the dishes by hand, i poured myself a glass of wine and I stood standing up and nudging myself to the door and these people did not leave.  I have never encountered this much rudeness in my life.    But finally they left and I am super tired to tell you the truth.  I am going to take a nap soon.  Well the  actual leader of the group was laid off on Monday so the "newLeader" came to lead.  I was open to that, but this woman brought I think 4-5 children and one of them was the child from Hell.  He broke our fooze table. Pulled the wires out of the celiing where we have our internet hooked up in the attic.  Broke 5 Wii games and Threw our wii on the floor.  This is a 12 year old. and this "new Leader" did nothing about it and did not even check on her kids the enitre time.  Ok kids will be kids and it was my fault for not asking him to get out of the room they were in sooner.  But then this woman, when it was time to leave took everything that she brought to the "potLuck" home with her.  I about died.  there was one thing she did not pack up to take home which was the grossest Ziti macaroni that looked like it was a week old and crusty and cold.  It was discusting.  My BFF saw that she was taking the licorish she brought and a few other items and handed her the Ziti and said  if you are taking all that you should take this too.  Inside I was dying laughing.   As I knew she was just letting this woman know she was rude.  I never heard of taking something to party and then taking it home, that is just not done at my house, in my culture, or in my world.  So needless to say I don't think I am going to do this again.  I am going to wait till mid next week to see if I get an email thanking me or apologizing for her childrens distruction of my home, if not I will write an email to the director personally letting her know how embarrassing this was.  Well enough moaning I am going to take a nap to recooperate from yesterday.

I would write that woman an email with a bill attached for the replacement cost of all the things her son broke.  And yes, shame on you for not getting on his case (since his mother wasn't) and also how rude she was to take home her food.  No wonder her kid was awful....look at the mother...no manners at all.  So thats my 2 cents worth.....and to stay till 2:30am - I guess I am not as nice as you cause I would have politely said - "well you have all been great but I gotta get to bed - you know the kids are up early...." and ushered them to the door.  You are to nice.

You are so right Jean!  I think I should.  I was trying to be nice because my husband was having such a great time being around deaf people, and did not want to spoil it for him.  I will not do again I assure you and on Monday I am going to send and email to her and I am resigning from the group.  It was a lesson well learned.  so I just got up and had a wonderful rest and now having the hubby get me dinner and back to bed for me.  Thanks for the advice confimd what I was feeling.  See you on Saturday!  I can't wait.

So glad you got some much needed rest - and you are such a good wife not wanting to spoil anything for hubby - good man he is getting you dinner....
