PreOp Liquid Diet in Burbank/Beverly Hills?
Howdy Folks,
I'm on day 5 of my pre-op shrink-my-liver liquid diet. On Thursday, I have to drive 90 miles from home for a 2-hour appointment with the nutritionist and do some preadmission stuff at the hospital in Burbank/Beverly Hills. I'll be down there at lunch time.
I've done great so far on this horrible diet.
I don't want to mess up.
Can anyone recommend a place in Burbank/Beverly Hills area where I can get a low fat cream soup? Or maybe a low carb protein shake? Someplace where I can go inside and sit down. With all the body-fat-percentage conscious people in LA there has to be a place.
I'm soooo tired of sf jello. The thought of sitting in my car in a parking lot and eating sugar free jello pudding and downing a canned protein drink
makes me want to weep.

One food makes you larger, and one food makes you small...


I usually made a protein shake at home and put it in a thermos and took a cup with me. Then, when out, go find a Barnes and Noble book store and sit inside, read a book and relax. SF Jello is our friend! I love it with a tiny squirt of low fat light whip cream.
I am 6 1/2 months out of surgery and 21 pounds from goal. My suggestion to you is to start now and pack your lunch. Pack your breakfast. Plan all your meals out the night before and just eat what you pack for the day when you're away from home. At home........... stick to the pre-planned meals.
I sit down each and every night and put in a note book what my meal plan is for the next day and I stick to it. I pack breakfast, lunch and make my dinner according to my meal plan. I am down 129# and 21# from goal! If I can do this.........you can too!
Don't rely on being able to buy something when we are on a specialized diet for now and during the early stages. Later on when you get to start adding food you can eat out, but for now prepare and pack your foods!
