A RE-QUESTION OF THE HAIR LOSS
I am 2 years and 5 months out. I started to loose my hair 6 months out and started to use the Nioxin products....it does work...but now suddenly I am loosing hair again...My hair is so thin and just really looks like crap! My questions are....Should we continue to use the nioxin products for life? Do we still loose hair after this far out? I hope someone knows....I feel like an ugly duckling

I just went to a Nioxin event and asked the same question. Mine has been thinning for a few months now. They said that after a surgery, it takes the body 18-24 months to get rid of the poisons of anesthetics and things, so it is not unusual to go through another hair-thinning time. I learned a lot at this event. I did not know the hair stored hormones and such, but I am wiser now. I am using it and it is working. They have a website with good info on it, but nothing like meeting the reps in person and having them put your head under a 200x power microscope. In the last 2 months, I can see the improvement of my hair. Do not give up, it will get better.

I will look into that...I just recently bought some of that Ovation cell therapy but I just don't know. That is some great information you gave me. Thank you for that. Maybe I will or should just stick with the Nioxin. I will do some research on it. I know my derm told me when you use rogain you have to use it for up to 8 months or your new growth will fall out within a few months. I thought maybe that was part of what was going on with me beings I stopped using the Nioxin. I am also going to keep track of my protein in take like the other lady suggested....can't go wrong looking into as much as possible.......Thank you very much
Hormones and thyroid problems are also reasons for losing hair. My hair is finally growing in. Make sure you are taking vitamins and keep up the protein. Did you know that hair is protein? I just found that out. I never used the Nioxin products. Make sure everything is working ok, maybe have a blood test to make sure.

I started using Nixon 8 years ago because I had chemo therapy for breast cancer. My hair thinned quite a bit, but I didn't lose it all. I am 6 months out from my RNY and have notice a slight loss. I believe that the with out the Nixon my hair loss would be considerably more and I will be using using it for life.
