I never advise people to hike alone but if you are lacking a partner...this is the place to go! There were a LOT of people on the trail (on a Tuesday?) today but you will have it to yourself at times. Solitude will not be yours here...but the people are friendly and the dogs I met along the way were nice too!

3.75 miles round trip/ Approx. 2 hours/ Sunscreen and WATER a must!

There are boulders to climb to get up to the BIG waterfall so though it is a fairly easy hike- those who have leg or back issues may have problems scaling the boulders and such. Also, you have to cross the Little River (stream) about 6 times. That means either wading through it or crossing on top of logs and rocks.FYI- I fell in but it was refreshing (refreshing = f-ing COLD)!

Hey Miss Rocky,
I just did this hike 2 weekends ago with my special ed class.  It was absolutely goregous.  I never hiked before, but was able to do it just fine.  I did fall once, climbing a big rock but only scratched my arm, no biggie.  I make it to the bridge then we rested for about 5 mins. then headed to the falls where we had lunch. Beautiful!!! I would definately recommend this hike.
I don't think I would have made it to the falls at 300 lbs though!  You go girl!          Hugs to all,  Donna

I see from another thread you posted that you might be attending this month's LB Coffee. I would love to chat w/you about hiking if you are there--it's something I'd like to do but I don't really know where to go.

Anyway, hope to meet ya at an LB Coffee in the near future!

Wow, that looks like a LOT of fun! If you like mixed kinds of hikes you may want to try Roscomere Canyon up in the Encino/BelAire hills.. it's awesome and I think it's still pretty much off of the map.
