I recieved a nice surprise this morning!

Takes a lot to suprise this old bag, but I definitely was surprise this morning when our union rep came into the assistant principals office where I was and said he had something to share with me, her and the principal...I am like okay....so he announced to me that my peers voted me teacher of the year!

I really hate that kind of attention and go back to thinking the last time I won teacher of the year was the night I decided that I would no longer live in my fat body and decided to have wls.

However this year....I am almost certain I will not be able to attend the district celebration due to get this...having surgery...but that is okay. My friend here said she would go in my behalf if needed.

I actually feel honored to be voted because all of us teachers will say this that sometimes it is a popularity contest and for sure at this school site...I am not alway a popular person for various reasons...but with the students I am popular. For sure that makes it all worth it and partly what makes being a teacher an effective teacher is when you can capture a kids heart and mind with who you are!

No I vote you PERSON OF THE YEAR!!! You have done an amazing job...stayed committed to running the marathon and your tool....you have stayed motivated...and honestly Lola....I am so in awe of you!!!!

BTW....seriously when I saw your new avatar just now...I am like holy smokes you are one HOTTY!

Keep up all that hard work and thank you my friend....I hope to see you sometime soon...I so loved meeting you in October and glad you came out and played!
