I recieved a nice surprise this morning!
Just wanted to say Congrats! How exciting to be honored by your peers. You are such a great source of inspiration on this board and obviously in the classroom too. You are AWESOME!
I have always said.... as far as I am concerned...there is a special place in Heaven for teachers. I only have one Teenager (God knows she is is handful) I can't imagine having 30 or more of them)
I have also seen the pictures of the murial. You are truly an inspiration. Can't wait to meet you in person.
You Rock Girlfriend!
Linda
Not to be a smart ass or anything but I have just thought that if us teachers have a special place in heaven...does that mean while we are teaching we are in hell???LOL Sometimes it surely feels that way Linda when the going gets tough in the classroom and all the peripheal
I feel honor to be a part of these students lives....they make me have a purpose in life. I am not looking forward to the end of the school year like I always don't because I feel like I have to send my babies out into the big school world and I miss them. I am the dorking teacher who tears up at their graduation ceremony (which I hope to not miss this year).
I do not think the students realize how much they give to me either. They for the most part make me feel happy....their uniqueness is awesome along with their sense of humor. I have always said I am a mommy first and then their teacher...and a lot of the time I have a relationship with them that is that of a mother since their are a lot of my students who are not with their mothers or family. Sad but true.
So I am a winner on so many levels as far as I am concerned!
Thank you Linda for all the support you give! I really appreciate it and you! And yes we have to meet Miss Skinny MINI!!!
