I was up and thought what the heck I will get this darn thread started.  I hope Janine is sleeping in a bit today and getting some well deserved Rest!  How exiting that she is the Teacher of the Year!  I am so impressed.

So what is everyone going to be doing today?  Something fun and differnt and out of the box?  Yesterday I escaped with my family and had a great day.  We went on a hike then had lunch in the park and played on the swings!  WE had a ball.  We then decided to drive to Barstow on the back roads to look at old buildings and take the old route 66 Highway.  WE stopped at the Route 66 Museum and the Harvey House Museum and the RailRoad museum, the kids had a grand time.  We even took our dog and they let us take our dog into the museum can you belive that?  Of course she was well behaved!  They were so impressed, so was I  lol.

Well today brings me to the Long Beach Coffee.  I am bringing 3 of my kiddos with me so I know my hands will be filled.  After the coffee we go and pick up 3 of our 6 chicks the kids just can't wait for that.  They also get to see their Auntie but I am sure the kids are more exited to see the baby chicks than any old ladies !  lol.

Then it is home for us and I am sure a nap for me after all that.  lol.  So What are you doing today?  ARe you walking running somewhere, shopping, spill the beans,

Try and do something nice for you today no matter how big or small just do something to show you how important you are.

Take care and have a beautiful day ladies and gents.

Hey ChickyMoma....yeah I can officially call you a chickyMoma....but no Nadya you are...way too good of a mommy for that label!

You know Rhonda....thank you for all your support....I hope you know I appreciate it!

And goes for all the wonderful people here who continue to support me...makes me feel good and it is not without appreciation and gratitude.

Today I am going to lunch with an old friend that I reconnected with. I am looking forward to it and fearing it at the same time as he has always been very critical of how I look....his partner tells me to just blow him off...I know not literally...but that is how Richard is...although in his defense...he would be there for his friends in a heartbeat! So I am like what do I wear today....OYE!

I am so relieved to have the yearbook done and my life back to my own...I know people are asking me...what are you going to do now Janine...well I am going to get my house back in order and begin working on projects that I have let sit while I have been so busy...find the time to get some strength and muscle tone back before surgery....see my friends...enjoy my family even more....all the things that bring me happiness in life. It is like I have to get back to me which I let go for a lot of months trying to fullfill my job responsibilities. Seriously I literally did not have anyone...student wise to help me on the yearbook this year....students who were not in my classes took pictures for me as my advanced art class would flake on me...and one student at one point said to me after I said...so you guys do not want to go out there and take picture for the yearbook....and he said yeah pretty much so...so I stopped asking and for sure they did not earn the grades they expected.

So that is my story and I am sticking to it Miss ChickyMoma....

Looking forward to seeing you soon too!

Love ya

Have a great day Rhonda and Cali,

Your trip down old Rt. 66 sounds like so much fun. I wish Iwould have done that with my sons when they were little, they would have enjoyed it.

Today I am going for a walk to start my day off then at 9, meeting friends for breakfast and from there we will go to a dress fitting, (dont know why, since I'm still losing and the wedding's in July), but I will be a good Matron of Honor and do it.  Can you tell I'm not too happy?  The dresses she picked for us are pencil dresses, ****tail length, and strapless!!! I have lost from 301 at surgery to 235 today, talk about loose skin, so please, a pencil, strapless dress???  Anyhow, it's her wedding!

Then I'm going to try to come by the LB Coffee Clutch,  hoping I will make it, I would love to meet all of you. Then off to my grandson's baseball game, and after that, we are having a bbq for my son's birthday at my moms house.  Busy day, but I love it.

Also, definate Congrats to Janine for Teacher of the Year, what an honor.  Hugs,  Donna

Good Morning Cali Crew and Rhonda!  Saturday - YAY!  I slept in a bit before the pup-a-razzi woke me demanding breakfast.  The old man was up at 4:30 to go turkey hunting.  It's opening season.

We are going to go test-drive a boat today.  A 1987 Sanger.  If it all works out, we'll have a new bathtub toy.  Then I'm going to go have lunch with a bunch of good friends.  While the old man is at work, I'm going to go get my tattoo finished.  I've been wanting to for a long time  I have a 5" tigger on the outside of my ankle.  I'm going to have them extend his tail all the way around my ankle and looping it in big circles to the front and have a butterfly sitting on the end.  That'll be on the front of my ankle.  Add a couple more colored butterflies and we have finished.

That's all I have on my plate for today!  Oh, and if I have time I'll be working on my scrapbooking.  I'm restoring my old books from high school.

Remember to take your vitamins, drink your water and shake that booty today!

Hey Chris I have only mentioned I am having surgery and not why....well the reason being is that I have a hernia and I also have pulled some of the permanent stitching off my abs which both are causing me a great deal of pain. I am also finally having my boobs repaired too...they are the object of much dismay to me....like how come everyone else can sail through boob surgery have great looking racks and I have to be plagued with multiple surgeries on mine. I am really hoping that this time doc will put in some super duper ducttape and I will finally be able to buy bra's and look like a normal person instead of Carol Doda...(that is for all you old time SF peeps *****member the landmark stripper) and get on with my life. I am really nervous about this surgery...and I do not know why as I have been through so much trying to make this old tired body look right....so keep me in your thoughts when I go back for the 6th round of slice and dice!!!

Thanks for asking Chris...I really appreciate it!

Morning Rhonda and all Cali friends
Isn't this weather gorgeous?!!  Sounds like everybody is out and doing this weekend...great weather to be out and enjoying family and friends.  For me, got some club bookwork to do this morning and then when Lon gets up, we plan on finishing up the 'spring cleaning' in the garage.  I came home from putting in a couple of hours at work yesterday (doing payroll so we all get paid!) and he had cleaned out a spot for my treadmill so I could enjoy the warm outside instead of being stuck inside a dingy bedroom. What a sweet man and a nice surprise. Now it's my turn to tackle getting rid of years of 'I might need that someday!' stuff...turns out we didn't LOL  Later this afternoon we'll take off and go for a scooter ride..don't care where we go..just so we get to ride.  Tonight our granddaughter is taking us to Sizzler to celebrate our anniversay... have already checked with the manager to be sure they have the Tomato Basil Bisque (?)...I think that is what it is called...anyway, it's on my 'ok' list of liquids, so I'm good to go ^_^

Tomorrow is church, maybe another spring cleaning project, definitely need to finish up my income taxes and then another scooter ride??  LOL  Gotta grab while the grabbing is good...weather is suppose to turn chilly again for a few days later next week.  Only 1 more week off from work and then it's back to the old routine...but with a NEW ME!!

Hope everyone enjoys this glorious weekend and weather. Be good to yourselves and do something special just for YOU!

Ahhhhhhhh, Joe and I love the old buildings.  Sometimes, we even tear them down and re-purpose the wood!  Our entertainment center used to be a house in Hayfork.  My bathroom cabinet used to be a fence and the mirror used to be an old wagon.  Complete with 1899 barb wire on it.  There just is nuthin' quite like very old weathered wood to make beautiful furniture if you have a master artist building it!  Of course it'll take an army to move some of this stuff!
