Good Sunday Morning Cali
Hard to believe that is is day two of the weekend as it seems to be flying by like crazy...guess that is why I am not sleeping because I want to enjoy every minute of it!
So on that note...GOOD MORNING CALI and i surely hope that you are taking advantage of sleeping in today...well only for a while because it is going to be a gorgeous day!
So Missy Jean....want to know where all the pictures are from yesterday? I was so hoping to jump on the computer and find a ton of pics from yesterday.....boowhoooo....I hope you get them up today! Did you all have fun and did you have a voice left? I understand Rhonda scored some really cute things from you! YAY that is very nice of you!
Rhonda thanks for the nice email...I got home from my lunch which was good and slept for a while...then got up and watch two movies....I have not really slept since then...was in the babies room watching more TV so Jeff could sleep...so to answer your question....no I was not galavanting all over Palm Springs....although that would have been fun too. Love the names of your chickies....that is just too cute. I know everyone loved your babies yesterday too...I know you said you were taking Lexy and Seany....but who else did you take? Sarah or Pookie...Jacob...Michael? Inquiring minds want to know!

Nikki...is this your last day of work before you get 3 days off? You really have been pulling some hard time there....know it is not fun and you have to be super tired. Still keeping good thoughts for a positive outcome on your tests on Tuesday.

Barb that is super scary about your father in law. Have they said anything about what caused his seizure? I surely hope he is going to be okay and not have any kind of reoccurance. I will definitely keep him in my thoughts!
Joy good to see you back around...you have been missed a lot around here! Have you been able to get out and ride much? Is the weather up there in Jamestown still bad? I finally got my bike back in working order and I do hope that today I might go out for a spin.Traffic has been really bad here...the drivers are less than desirable...so that does make me a bit nervous!
Jeni....how did your sleepover with all your grandchildren go? 5 of them...OMG it had to be fun really. I like it when Ava gets to spend the night here...heck I just love it when they are here period! Grandkids really make me feel super good!
Monica how is that Missy Jordyn....I know that my kids take a huge hit sometimes in the sleep department when their kids have a rough night....I still remember those days well and surely do not know how I could have done it if I had been working at the time...was very hard!

Hey Nancy did you all have fun last night celebrating your anniversary? Hope so...and did you get the scooter ride in? Sounds like fun! Hey btw...I have a garage full of I might need that later stuff...I can be such a packrat if it is out of sight. My workspace is like that too...OMG I have to clean it....and worst thing is...we recently had this high wind storm...last Sunday I think it was....well shoot....my room is so full of sand like pretty much the rest of the house in all the nooks and crannies....guess what I am going to be doing somewhat today? LOL Hope you have a good day!
Chris I read that Dawn did not get out of the hospital today...is everything okay? You really have been a good angel to her! Those hats you talked about sound like a real hoot and good on you signing up for that 3 day walk!
Hey Robin....how did your son do with his race? Bet it was loads of fun!
KimS did you get your gardening and cleaning done? I have never tried to have a garden in pots. Hell I do not even know what is a good time of the year out here in the desert to even try and grow any veggies. When I lived in the bay area...we had a garden all the time and even composted....out here...never....everything rots so quick I think it would be a huge sticky mess!
Well that is about all I can think of this morning...I am a bit foggy with lack of sleep, but just because I do not shout you out does not mean I do not care!

However . . . turns out one of the walkers for our group for the 3D is flying in today to go to TJ for her lapband surgery . .. which I only found out this AM . . . I haven't met her before . . . so I'm trying to contact her to tell her I would pick her up fromn the airport and take her to the border . . . I'm not going across . . . but it would be a bit easier for her!
On the home front, my DIL is having issues ... her liver is enlarging . . . daily! she has had one MRI . . . and they sent her for another one yesterday, more bloodwork and then told her to go get a catscan and another sonogram . . . which she is doing this morning . .. another cause of her pain could be her uterus is turned inside out (I'm not to technical as always) . . . which is common with cervical cancer . . . so she is still trying to push through stuff. We'll know more later today.
With that I'm off . . . have to find one more hat to match the 5 I have . . . now when am I supposed to work with a glue gun with the munchkins running around!

Great shoutout Janine. It sure helps me keep up on the goings on around here since I don't read as much as I would like.
We got Sammi's sister Katherine back home to Idaho on Friday. We sure do miss her around here and are hoping she'll come back during the summer. Here's a pic of us 3 girls at Shell Beach.
DH is working today so Sammi and I will get a little housework done. Then this afternoon we'll go down to his cousin's house and visit with his Aunt who is in town from Oregon.

Thanks for the great Shout out! I want to see the pictures of the coffee yesterday too. I am not a good photographer so I kind of leave it to the others. I took Sarah with me to the coffee and she had a ball. So did Mike, Lexie and Sean though. The chickies are having a ball with the kids. They are singing this morning for their breakfast. It is cute. I got to sleep in, sort of. But my husband's hay fever was acting up so his snoring was unbelievable. I got up at 12-2-3-5-7-8. Finially at 8 I stayed up at 3:00 I stayed up for like an hour and goofed around on the computer. Today I don't know what we are going to do. I really wanted to go hiking but with as little sleep as I got last night I am not sure that is such a good idea. We shall see, if not it is starting my garden which I really want to do. I wish there was a class or something around here where they would show a lame person like me how to do this. I am going to read the packages of the seeds and see what comes up from there. Should be fun though. Ok, I need coffee reall bad. so I shall chat at you all later, every one have a wonderful day.

well, for me yesterday we went bike riding from huntington beach to newport. HAd a bit of mechanical probs on hubbys bike. So we needed to hunt for a bike shop (he broke a spoke and wheel was wobbly.), so we did not make it to the long beach coffee like we planned. We were on course to until the break.
Rhonda, as for the garden. I buy my plants already done. I plant in containers and I use Miracle Grow potting soil. I ususally have beautiful veggies that way.
I need to get potting soil. Pay day is next friday so lowes or home depot here I come.

Yesterday's LB Coffee was as usual awesome. Had lots of folks there and I can only speak for myself, but I had a great time! Rhonda, your little ones are soo cute and so well behaved. And kudos to Michael for being such a good big brother and watching out for his little sisters! You have an amazing family. Monique, I'm so glad you came out, enjoyed chatting with you. And to all the "regulars" who were there, as always, it was just nice to sit and gab with you all.
Miss Becky, it was great to see you, especially as you and Rhonda have such a long drive to get to us. And Miss Mae, you need to come more often! And Miss Angie...looking good!!
To eveyone else, "hugs." It was great seeing you all. I will post up pics that I have later today, but first...COFFEE!

I think the weekends should be 4 days instead of 2. I say 3 day work week and 4 day weekends for all. Okay, I am dreaming but still.
Yesterday was an amazing day. I completed 23 mile yesterday and I felt so wonderful. I could have easily done 3.2 more. My confidence is high and I am ready to get this marathon over with but will be said to not have my weekend training.
Today brings lots of errands.

I think about you often and lots on the weekends as you do your training. How is that cutie patootie little guy of yours? Any prospects for Monterey? I just wanted you to know that I think about you and am sorry for not writing or calling, just swamped lately. I am doing great with eating, vities etc. Could always do better with my water and exercise, but I am walking more and more and just need to up it aerobically.

Thanks so much for your kind words and thoughts Janine about my Father in Law. He remains in the hospital and unfortunately restrained as he was starting to pull out the IV's and his catheter. Certainly a tough thing for my mother-in-law to see, as he has never done that sort of thing before and has no signs of dimensia. He is sort of talking stories and telling nonsensical jokes right now, and we don't know if this is due to meds or the seizure. I didn't get a chance to see him yesterday and will probably call up and talk to the nurse today to get the scoop as to what neuro tests have been run thus far, as my mother-in-law doesn't think to ask or doesn't want to bother anyone. So all thoughts and prayers as so welcome.
Today, I have to run to SF to see my Step Mom. She and I will do some shopping (as we love to do that together.) I tried to do a little shopping yesterday at Goodwill because I am changing sizes and running out of things to wear in my closet for work (yea, what a shame huh) but I just couldn't find anything. I think it's the old retailer in me that doesn't like pawing through racks that are too tight. There used to be a WONDERFUL place in Concord called It's Not A Small World that was a second hand clothing store that was nicely sized and stuff and I could ALWAYS find things in there but darn it, they didn't survive.
So that's my day and I sure hope everyone has a great day today.
