Personal Trainer
Hi All,
I'm new here. Let me give you a little background...
My name is Corinna. I am 27 years old and live in Signal Hill, CA.
I am in the very early process of getting the Lap Band Surgery. One of the requirements is that I get a personal trainer for 3 months before my insurance will approve the surgery.
I am having the craziest time finding a trainer. Of course I want to spend as little as possible, but I know it is quite pricey. My cry for help is with finding a trainer that is reasonably priced. If anyone can refer me to a trainer I would appreciate it very much!!
Thanks and I look forward to chatting with all of you!!!

Welcome to you first off. What I would suggest is to contact your local YMCA I know there is one in Long Beach and that is not too far from Signal Hill. See what they can do to help. You can also contact Long Beach City College in their PE department they some times have programs for fitness and they use personal trainers. You can also post on Craigs list that you are looking for a personal trainer and state the price that you are willing to pay. There are many things you can try. You could also Barter something for a persaonal trainer, maybe you could do some cooking or babysitting or house cleaning for a personal training in trade? Just some ideas for you. I wish you the best of luck. Keep us posted on what you found out. Today is the Long Beach coffee if you are able to make it you should go there are a lot of people that go to this and they have lots of good information. Good luck to you.

Where is Signal Hill? My daughter is a personal trainer, works as a PT assistant and is in school to become a PT/MS/PHD She has her BS in Kineseology. She lives in Fontana and goes to school and work 3-4 days a week, but at different times. Her job is in Anaheim Hills, school is in Chino Hills area. Lert me know if this is feasible.

You need to call my trainer, he's in Long Beach and he's awesome.
He has a boot camp class in Cerritos on Saturday mornings that's pretty affordable. Tell him Monica sent you....

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Hi Ladies, thanks for all of your help!! I actually found a trainer and start this evening...pray for me!! LOL.
Monica, I may still contact your trainer and join the bootcamp in Cerritos. Do you go to the LB Coffee Club? I wasn't able to make it this past Saturday but am hoping to make the next one.
Thanks Again!!

I still go to coffee and the bootcamp class is great! It was on Saturday and I'm STILL SORE. (that's a good thing really) They modify all the exercises for different levels of abilty.
I hope I get to see you next month!
