I hope Monday was a good day for all of you and you sailed through it with flying colors!
Yesterday our school got some positive attention as the news came out and talked with us about it. It was a short clip which showcased the tile wall...were some great shots of it and the principal said a few words. The kids are going to be all a buzz about it today because they take real pride in their public art work!
Other than that...was the same grind...was really tired all day even though I slept good the night before. I do not know about any of you...but OMG the allergies are super bad out here and the humidity is way down...that means stuffed up heads and way dry itchy eyes!
Question do any of you have dry eyes? Well if you are medically diagnosed with it, you can get your insurance to pay for collegen plugs they insert (with no pain even) into your tear ducts which allows more tears to stay on your eyes. They last anywhere from 2-4 months and I am telling you it was the best thing my doc ever recommended to me. Although when they run out....it is like switching off the light switch...boom they are gone and your eyes are miserable. I have to call and get an appointment today!
Sue....loved the pic of you and your daughters too! I am telling you...no I do not have to tell you how wonderful it is for you to have your daughter come out and see you and you getting to go back there too. It must have been super hard for you to see her leave and you probably wanted to keep her there too! LOL Bittersweet for sure!
Jean the pics from LB were great. One of these days maybe I will get back there again! Glad you had a great time and you looked marvelous as always! Your new board pic with Becky is darling...and you are looking so SEXY!!!
Nikki....how did the test go yesterday? I thought about you and we are waiting right here along with you and saying lots of prayers for you. I hope you get to sleep in as I think you are on your 3 days off! Lets us know asap please!

Becky....when I looked at the pics from LB...I thought to myself about how people are going to say how tiny you are after...you are going to be....because everything around you is tiny and then those resided aliens are there....I am so excited for you to get them fixed!
SunRay aka Nancy....were you able to get your gardening all done? Sounds pretty. You ought to take some pics and show us all. We have been having some winds again....typical desert weather for us in the spring...so I can understand you not wanting to be out in it. We get free dermabrasions here! LOL. I know what you mean about getting use to retirement...that is how I feel every summer having it off...ugh do I have to go back!
Maureen it sounds like you had a good weekend inspite of the old man being a grump at first! Where you able to get your tat yesterday or will it be sometime this week? That was super rude what happened to you and either he just didn't want to do it because he felt it was beneath him and it was not all goth and death...or he just could not have a vision....sad...his lose but your gain in a lot of ways.

Lola...thanks for the compliment on my grandkids....you know I just love them to pieces. Ava's mom and me met at the mall yesterday to have Easter bunny pics taken...well Ava would not do it without mom...so it is a mother and daughter Easter this year....oh well! Ava and I did our traditional photobooth pics too....by that time she was Miss Crabzilla...but I love her anyways! I have to also bow down to you about your running...OMG 23 miles the other day and you loved it????I am so dang impressed with you Lola...you took on a challenge and I know there were days where you thought you would never make it...remember? And look at you now? You truly are an inspiration...you are pretty dang incrediable!!! BTW....your board pic is awesome...you are not even recognizable, but prettier than ever....I sure hope we hook up soon again!
Chris those hats are so dang cute!!! I did not realize you were such a crafty person. I think it is really cool that you are doing this 3 day walk thing for survivors and loved ones who have lost their lives. Just amazing!

Donna sounds like you had a good weekend. I am sure you will fit into your dress for the wedding...just remember they meaning the dress shop can make miracles happen!! I bet that it might be even loose by then!!!! How old is your granddaughter....can you imagine life without those little ones around again...not me!
Barbe any news about your fil? I did not know an MRI cannot be done with a pacemaker...but it makes sense since the MRI is magnetic....OMG could you imagine if they made that mistake!!! Sheesh! Hope there is a turning point soon for your fil and he is out of the hospital soon! I have not been up to the Gilroy area in like forever! I remember them having those outlet malls too...we have a great one down here in Cabazon!

The hats are on hold at the moment . . . some of the people want to look for different lace now . . . omg . . . just shoot me! However . . .since we are a team - I'll go with the flow . .. just put that glue gun away for awhile.
I go to my "get started" meeting tonight for the walk . . . and I got a decent pedometer yesterday . .. so now I have to get my butt out there walking a LOT . . . there is even a count down thing on the website (somewhere) saying we have161(ish) days until we walk . . . the good thing with all this - I've got my weight moving again, and the motivation is there . .. now I gotta use it!

We're having allergy issues over here on the coast right now too. My eyes are very dry and itchy.
we all hated to see Katherine go home. We really enjoyed having her here all week. I'm pretty sure she'll be back in the Summer. Hopefully it will be ALL summer LOL. She'll be off to U of Oregon this fall. Definately bittersweat as you said. she's a great girl. Little miss Sammi LOVED having her "Sissy" around too.

Good morning to you Janine, the night owl! Hope you got some sleep after your great shout out morning posting! And a gracious good morning to all my Cali friends!
Lil Lilly is NOT a digger thankfully! That would simply not do in my yard! LOL She is such a good dog and so smart too. Right now we are teaching her to walk on her two back legs. So funny! I bet by this weekend she will have that little trick down pat.
Had a fine Monday but, like you Janine, I too was sleepy all day even though I got a good nights sleep. Hopefully today I will feel more awake. Business slowed up some yesterday after a couple of really good sales weeks. With spring break on the calendar right now I am hoping for more business and a good season this year. Get out there and buy/use those RV's folks! Still the least expensive vacation going. And don't forget that is you are thinking of buying a unit there is now a nice tax deduction you get when you buy one, thank you Mr. Obama!

Thanks for the compliments.....I have kind of a busy day on the agenda - a visit to my PCP to get some skin tags removed then to Walgreens to pick up picture copies and to Best BUy to get Slumdog Millionaire, and off to Lowes or Home Depot for some spring flowers to plant in my little space out front.....after that nothing....

I do suffer some from Dry eyes ever since my lasik surgery many years ago....but I just deal with it. Its the worst in the morning when I wake up....no fun for sure.

I know my dog is huge, but I don't think she would like children on her back lol Yes the chickies poop stinks to all heaven. I change their bedding twice a day because of it. They are living in a Plastic box with a heating pad and lots of food and water and warm blanky. lol. I even spoil our pets! lol. Lets see today I gotta a lot to do. HOuse needs a good cleaning and Laundry to be done. I have to mop the floors and clean the kitchen, same old same old. I am making some of my husband favorites for dinner, beans and cornbread. Those beans have been soaking all night now I will put in some onions and garlic and some ham and throw those in the crock pot and we will have a tastey dinner tonight. Full of protien and very healthy. The kids love it. I also need to do some paperwork around my desk today and get that all done. Well that is about all for me. I hope everyone is having a great day. Just a quick note to say hi to everyone. I'm working 2 jobs right now...subbing and BUX, and am so exhausted! But, I wanted to say that this past weekend was so fun. My 2nd cousin pitches for Washington State (Go Cougars!) and is being scouted already by the major league. They played in the Pac 10 tournament that started last weekend, and they played Cal Berkeley. You never know when they are going to put in a pitcher, so you just start with the first game and hope for the best. Friday.....no Dave pitching.....Saturday....no Dave pitching....Sunday.....Dave goes in in the 6th inning to relief pitch, and does his job (and does it well I might add!). The next inning, and I'm thinking "where the heck is Dave?" And there it was, as quick as he came, he left....typical man!!!
Anyway, I had a blast with cousins and many relatives over the weekend. We are a family that laughs alot!

Well the test went, lol. The Ultrasound tech wasnt willing to say or show much. From what I could get out of him the growth is on the left side and it looks like it is inside the thyroid not on like I thought. They say it should take a week for my PCP to get results, whatever, she could have it today!! Oh well I am more or less use to waiting, I dont like it, but life is a biotch.
I slept in yesterday, but no luck today. Oh well I can take a nap today in between cleaning house and grocery shopping.
Oh well I think I am human enough to start cleaning. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Be good to yourselves and those around you!!!

Don't worry about Mr. Grumpy. I cut him a bit of slack because he's working 6 10-hour days a week, but .......... like I explained to him I didn't make him grumpy, I don't deserve his grumpy and if he didn't stop, then I didn't want to hang around him. He can go to bed earlier and not give up sleep to go hunting. His choice.
I have an appointment today to get my tat finished. I am going to a different shop and this person comes highly recommended and I've seen some of his work. I also called the other shop and asked to speak with the Owner or Office Manager. I then explained exactly what happened. He offered to have me come in and have another artist do my work. I explained to him that there was no way his shop was getting my money, nor my husband's money nor some of our friends. He understood. I was gracious and polite about it, but explained that I just wanted to know exactly how rude one of his employees was to me and that I felt he just didn't want to do it because it wasn't his "thing" or it was too small and not a mega tat. It grew a bit last night. Adding some flowers and vines and incorporating my kids initials in them.
Spent time yesterday working on my old pictures scrapbookking them. Got 3 pages done and they're really cute.
Off to drink my protein smoothie. Vitamins are in and I am attempting to wake up.
Thank you for the shout out Janine. You are amazing and I, as well as, the other Cali peeps, really appreciate you! You keep us going in the right direction on a daily basis. It is such a pleasure to have a place like this to kind of check in and check on ourselves and our co-losers.
My little Mylee is 10 mos. today and I definately agree that life would not be as beautiful without her in mine, as I am sure it is with you and yours.
