(I do like attention-grabbing headlines, don't I???)

Saturday May 9th is the REVLON Run/Walk for Women in Los Angeles.  This is a huge event for a very worthy cause.  If you or someone you love has had breast cancer this is an awesome way to walk in their memory or to support their ongoing battle against cancer.

Registration is $30 and it includes a t-shirt and goody bag.  Click on the link to register: http://www.revlonrunwalk.com/la/

Oh yeah, and its also a very good way to get some exercise. I hope to see you there!!

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

Hey girl
THis sounds like something I might want to do but what I would need to know is if others are interested could we car pool to get there...I am not a big fan of freeway driving but it sure helps if there is someone along on the ride or if I could hitch a ride....but I am seriously thinking of registering.  Thanks for the info.

Jean,

If you want I will do this with you.  I walk pretty fast and I know I can go at least 20 miles.  I don't know how long this one is, but I am game.  I can drive to Seal Beach and pick you up and we can go.  I will pm you my personal information if you want to hook up and do this.  I would love it.

Rhonda,

This walk is a 5K (3 miles).
Without struggle, there is no progress.

I might join you.  Years ago, when I volunteered for this event, I never dreamed of running or walking 3 miles.
Without struggle, there is no progress.
