Hi there. I was just wondering if you can help me out with necessities I need at home post op and the vitamin intake information and protein, iron etc ...... It's mind boggling how much vitamins we need daily to maintain our body after surgery. I am soooo confused and really need some advise / help. Determining the necessities, options and or preferences.

My surgery is April 27th with Dr.Dahiya and I would like to start buying the vitamins and or proteins now. The food im not too concerned, or should I be? I mean I know it has to be healthy and I know about the dumping syndrome........

HELP !!!!! I am going nuts here, maybe I'm putting too much mind into this .....

I needed a MV, Iron, B12, Cailumn. I had to be on a liquid diet for two weeks post op so I needed Broth, SF jello, SF apple sauce, crystal light, Protein Shakes. I was home alone after my surgery so I needed to stock up it's hard to get out and go to the store. So I got at least 30 days worth.

You can get Isopure Protein Drinks in a variety of flavors.  I have to have my really cold when I drink them.  You can get them at GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe.

I got my B-12 sublingual from GNC in a blue box, so far these are the best cherry flavor tasting.

Make sure you have SF popsicles for those just in case your too sore to get anything down.

Start looking around for the Pureed Food list all over this site.  People have some really good recommendations on making it through that stage.

Best Wishes on your journey
