Are there any LA support group meetings?

I'm 7 weeks post up and was wondering if there were any support group meetings in Southern Caliornia, Los Angeles.  Please let me know.  I need the support and motivation and I know the support group meetings will keep me accountable and motivated.

There are MANY, depending upon how far you want to travel.

I personally attend four different groups here in Torrance but that's probably further than you want to travel from Encino.

You might want to try through Cedars Sinai, although I think there may also be one in Burbank.

I think there are also a couple near Thousand Oaks.

Where do I go to find the information?  I would love to attend.  Thanks!

I would start with your doctor's office, myself.  Ask his staff about support groups.

Keep an eye on this board for the Cedars Sinai Group, I think it meets on Tuesdays but it's not one of mine so I don't keep track.

If you want to travel to Torrance, I can give you the details.

Check with the hospitals that are centers of excellence and ask them as well.

Didn't your doctor require you to go to a support group meeting or two prior to surgery?  Most do.

I would also like to find out about support group meeting in Los Angeles.  I know about the meeting at Cedars SInai

 There is a support group in Burbank.. It's held at St. Joseph's medical center 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month they start @ 6:30 and fish around 7:30...  If you want more info just go to this website
