I have a date!

Ok, I'm not a frequent poster, but I just had my dietician appt. yesterday and they gave me my surgery date. It is going to be April 14th! I am still in shock and really nervous, but also excited! Anyway, just wanted to share since I feel like the next 10 days will be critical in mentally preparing myself. Looking forward to gleaning as much information and support from this board as I can!

Congratulations on getting your surgery date.  My surgery is on Monday, 4/6.  One of my kids asked me if I was nervous.  I feel anxious - I want it over with so I can begin my new life.  I think I am mentally prepared for this - no turning back now.  I am not one for giving up.  Here we go.....

Hey congratulations to both of you April folks.  So happy you've got your dates and you're going to just love this journey.  I can so identify how you are feeling nervously excited, as I felt exactly the same way. 

I have been so darn lucky, no problems whatsoever!  We're here to give you the support you need on your journeys and please know you can feel free to call on me anytime.  Just give me a shout out.

Congrats on your surgery date. Dr Ali is a wonderful surgeon and has a very good bed side manner. He did my surgery on March 2nd. If you have any questions feel free to send me a pm.

Way cool about getting a date so darn soon! I do not know how long you have been waiting, but nothing makes us oldies more happy is to see newbies having surgery and being so excited.

You will do fine...I have never heard a bad word about Dr. Ali and know that you will be in good hands! Have a smooth saling surgery and a speedy recovery!
