Good Morning everyone!
Hope you are all having a great Monday!
I have a quick question- does any out there have any experience with Healthnet insurance approving or not approving a VSG procedure?
I am scheduled for RNY on the 29th of this month and hope to change to VSG but only if Healthnet will cover it..
Any feedback would be most welcome.

Thank you.

Hi Angela,

I have HealthNet but had the RNY; however, whenever I had any questions about coverage they were more than happy to answer them.  It took me three weeks from my PCP referral date to my actual surgery - they approved within 48 hours of getting the request.

I would suggest calling them directly!

Best of luck!

I have HN and got approved for the DS. I know that HN just changed their policy to include the VSG. I think you need to have reasons why you can't have the DS or RNY. Maybe if your surgeon or doctor makes a good enough case they'll approve you. I also have info on my page where the DMHC has overturned insurance denial of the VSG. Best of luck.

Hi Angela. I goit approved on the 31st of March and got notification today from Michelle... my day is May 15th @ 6 am.

Whoa.

HealthNet is always great. Even the receptionist at Solomons office (Stephanie) says so.

Good Luck.
