Good Sunday Morning Friends

Good Sunday Morning my friends...I surely hope that all of you are sleeping snug as a bug in a rug this fine day or at least it is gonna be a fine day!

This post is brought to you live from a very CLEAN and ORGANIZED workspace at my house thanks to the organization wizard RHONDA!!!

OMG if you could have seen my house yesterday. Rhonda made me methodically take thing out of my workspace until there was essentially nothing in there and put things in organized spots all over my family room and kitchen and I have to say...at times she was the SLAVE DRIVER!!! I also have to say I do not know how her mind works, but it is friggin awesome! As an artist....I have not one clue how to organize things like she did. She has an area in my workspace for everything. She made me sort all my paints out to where I have one place for acrylics, one for oils and one for watercolors. I was like dying....but in a good way. She has all my drawing stuff in one place. I have a place for work in progress or work that I want to re-work....places for all my paper...for canvases...you name it. She labeled my storage drawers...I am like scared of her! LOL

I have to tell you all....Rhonda is a very selfless person...she does everything that she does from the kindness of her heart even though she will tell you it is fun...that one I do not understand, but nevertheless....what a great gift she has given me! I do not know how long I can keep it up...I mean it is was too clean for me...she even cleaned all the paint off my work tables!!

More over....I cannot thank you enough Rhonda...I know I thank you over and over again yesterday through the grumbles...but this is AWESOME!!!

We did manage to find time to go downtown for her much beloved yogurt and had a few laughs. The destruction from the high winds the day before was unbelieveable for sure! Trees were literally uprooted and huge trees were just snapped off! Power lines were down...and the polls too...unbelieveable.

I did hear from my friend in the afternoon and yes he was evacuated....police were out there he said with bullhorns and literally were given 5 minutes to get out! He said you could not even see across the street and this is not a wide street at all. Rhonda and I drove up there yesterday to see the damage....not as bad as I thought it was going to be because it only burned 40 acres or so. However the potential was great! He said people lost their roofs and all kinds of stuff up there! I cannot imagine what or how the people do in hurricaines. I would be so scared!

So enough blabbering....how did the SD lunch go yesterday? What no pictures Jean? You slackin on the job girl? I know you all had a super terrific day!

Delores....I am so excited for you! You are going to do fine with your surgery and it will the first day of a whole new life for you! You have done awesome on your pre-op diet and can you imagine how it is going to be now? OMG a built in tool to assist you along!!! Make sure some posts and lets us know how you are doing!

Maureen did you get the stye cleaned up? I felt your pain when I read that you had to clean the mess....that is how I felt when Rhonda and I were cleaning yesterday!

Robin you and your boys up to anything good this weekend? How did your nieces hair come out? Are you a hairstylist?

Sue...just loved the pic of the girls...that surely is a picture to treasure for a very long time. Glad you and hubby got some alone time...that is important! How is his back doing?

Nancy aka Sunray....I am feeling your pain too having to go back to work tomorrow. It really sucks when you have a period of time off and then you have to get right back into the swing of things. I hate it myself....worst part of summer for me is the last couple of weeks knowing I have to go back...so I gradually get myself back into the swing of things by going down to school here and there to get my feet wet! Hope you have a good relaxing day!

Steve did you get those awful winds up in your area? I heard the news say that up that way was like the blocking point of the storms that caused this destruction here....but I might have been wrong...hope your garden did not take a hit! How is Miss Lily doing? Molly got all prettified at the hairdressers yesterday...okay groomers....she looks great with her little red bandana on too!

LuLu I sure hope that you did okay in that run....I was told by a little birdy that you insist on doing things that might not be so good for you....like would you go and get yourself repaired girl!!!

Monica did you get your mom off to the airport? I think she was leaving yesterday. How lucky is she getting to go on such a nice vacation! I guess we can all be there mentally with her eh? I am sure she will come home nice and refreshed! Otherwise...you lucky already being on break! I am way looking forward to this Friday for sure! Will your mom be home for Easter?

Nikki do you get another day off today or is it back to work for you? Did you find anything out about your tests yet?

Becky when is your surgery? I bet you are just counting the days until you get those ailens out!!!

Jeni....did you get the RV tired fixed yesteday..that is a bummer when you find those things...like oh crap I have a flat and I am going to be late for work! Yeah I am having surgery on the 8th of next month for a bunch of stuff...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Not looking forward to it, but hopefully this will be the last! What is going on with your wrist? I surely hope that you are not having carpal tunnel issues...that is what poor Jodi went through limiting her time on the boards. I have not seen her in a long time...didn't you two use to talk? Bet your are going to have some nice teeth when they are done...and I am right there with you sister about the shots period...especially the ones on the roof of the mouth!

Jenn...are you on Joy having a good visit? How nice you two have connected like you have!

Naomi did you all have fun yesterday? I know you and Jean were like the wowzer sexy moma's yesterday!!!! Are you on break this week coming up here or the next? I know you posted something about a trip...want to hear the details!

Barb did you have a good day yesterday? Sounded like it was shaping up to be a good one! When did they say they are going to fly the position so you can officially apply for it? I hate the steps they have to take....are you covered under a union because I know we always have to do things according to procedures in the hiring area not to step on others toes....sometimes dumb I think because a lot of good people are passed over because of it! How is your father in law doing? Better I hope with the UTI. I think it is awesome that your husband is graduating soon! I forgot what he is getting his degree in..so spill. I think it is way awesome no matter what age you are to get an education and have the desire to better yourself!

Jennirjohn....good luck with your surgery on Monday, I know you are going to do fabulous!! How exciting!!!! Just love that word LOSER!!!!

Well I am pulling a big brain fart here this morning and hope you all do know that you are important and a very big part of what makes this board work!

I am going to go back to bed for a while..want to not yawn my head off while walking around at the Indian Wells art festival today...gonna be nice out there for sure...and this is super cool...they are doing a live mural out there which is going to be donated to the First Ladys pet project thingie....can't remember what it was, but nice to watch artist do their thing!

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

Yes we got Grandma to the airport and she is off to meet her bff in san fransico and they fly out today.  I know she needed the get away and I'm so glad she could take it.  She gets in on friday and then has a quilting thing to do, but will be with us on Easter.  I thought of you yesterday I was looking for a bunny soap dispenser for my mom and they had a very nice hello kitty one.  It was at Target.

Today we are headed to the Del Mar car show with Jordyn's dad.  This is my most favorite car show of the year.  I am so excited that Jordyn get to go to her first show.  This one is particularly special to me because it was there that we had one of our first conversations about having a child together and now she is here.  I hope she likes it.  Having two parents who are car nuts, this will be the first of many.

Sounds like Rhonda did a amazing job.  Can you send her my way now?

Good Morning Calif.....Yep I amslacking on the pictures but I have them off of my camera and onto the computer - but I amhaving trouble with picturetrail right now...but I promise they will be up today for sure....and yes - we had a blast...what a great group of people.  I met some newbies and pre ops and had a great time...and of course Naomi and I gabbed our heads off both on the trip down and back....geez we talk so much we almost miss our turn offs....oh well..

So nothing planned for me today - hopefully want to get in a walk to start gearing up for the Revlon 5K in May....

Janine - so glad your friend is ok and his house is ok too....how scary for sure....and I am with you about hurricanes (tornados too)..I will take our So Cal earthquakes any day...although I hate those as well.

Ok so - Rhonda - you are amazing girl....I don't think I can think of one person that is as giving and caring as you....

Well time to go read the paper and check out the Sunday Ads (my favorite part) and have another cup of java.

Wow all the nice comments I am going to get a big head ladies.  I know I am odd, but it was a blast doing that, I do it for all my friends.  I WORK FOR FROZEN YOGURT!  lol  I love NF NSA frozen yogurt and I only know of a few places that have it.  Best one is in Palms Srpings. 2nd Best is in Fountain Vally and 3rd Best is in Apple Valley.  Soooooo if you know that you have a frozen yogurt place in your area that has NFNSA yogurt that tastes WONDERFUL!  I just may come to your area and give it a shot!    lol.  Thanks again everyone.

i've been mia lately because i've been so sick.. it got so bad i had blood coming out my ears and nose.. and now i can't hear out my right ear.. i go back to see the doc nexted week... i missed all of you .. i'm just doing tons of laundry today .. i got a bunch of clothes from a friends storage.. it is awsome... well i just wanted to say hi to everyone and to say i'm still alive... see ya tomarrow

Good morning Janine and Cali,

I was so nice yesterday, after yard work we took a drive to Santa Cruz.  It is only a little over an hour from us.  We took our daughter Vanessa on the rides.  I went with her on the kiddy roller coaster and had no problem with squishing her!!  Yeah!!  Last time we went I took her on it and we barely fit in the little seat.  This was a WOW moment.  She helps keep me on track.  Have a great day everyone!

That is awesome Delores!!!! Did you all go on the old roller coaster there? What was it called the Big Dipper or something? Love Santa Cruz...I am a former bay area gal!

Does Rhonda do road trips? I sure could use someone like that at my house. I have never been one to be organized. I am a clutter collector. My whole patio is full of boxes of my belongings to me from my move last July, have not been able to finish my wall papering or painting in the house to get things moved in....well, since my mom came here my life is not my own anymore, I just want my life back so I can just be me again.....sorry for the rant.

That would be a good business to get into for someone......

Good Morning Janine and Cali Crew!  Yes, I did get the sty cleaned.  It took me over 4 hours but I got it to a level I am happy with.  I knocked most of the dust off and even mopped all the floors  I have tile through-out with the exception of carpet in the bedrooms.  Makes cleaning easy

Kids came home last night.  Well, 2 of them.  Nick and Siobhan along with Renny are here for the day.  There's been a Costco request for tp and paper towels.  (guess who's gotta pay for that!) 

Don't know what the rest of the day will bring.  I do know the kids also want some peanut butter cookies so...............

Off to shower and warm up.  its a *****illy in here!
