Slow weight Loss
Hello All,
I had my surgery on January 26th of this year and so far have lost about 40 pounds. A few people that I have spoken to have told me that my weight loss is moving really slow. I am trying to stay positive about it and remind myself that I am loosing and that is the main point. and if I have a slower weight loss less extra skin. I eat my protein and work out as much as I can. Can it be that maybe there is too much Protein in my diet? Anyways I just wanted to know if anyone went through this too or is going through this. Thanks!!!

First, I say poo poo on the nay sayers!! When other have you gone on a diet and lost 40 pounds in 4 months? I would guess not too often.
How many grams of protein are you getting in each day? What does you Surgeon say? That is the person that you should care about what 's being said. We all lose at our own pace. I had Surgery Aug.18th 08 and so far I have lost 82 pounds. I feel like it is really slow when I see others around my same date the have lost 20or 30 more pounds but I have to remind myself that they may have more weight to lose and that will make it look like they are losing at a faster pace, the may be able to exercise more than I am able (due to medical issues, or they could be a lot younger the older we get, the slower things are likely to come off...sad but true.
So don't get discouraged just keep plugging along and before you know it you will be almost or very close to your goal.
