new member- surgery next Tuesday

Hello, I have been lurking for awhile, and wanted to introduce myself!

I also want to say thank you for everyone who posts on here- I have learned so many great things about life after WLS!

I am getting lap band next Tuesday April 14th. I am very nervous, so coming to these boards has been a sense of calmness for me.

I so glad you came to join us!!  Your nerves are very understandable, and perhaps there's a little excitement there too?  Take a few deep breaths and think about how fantastic your life is going to be!!  What's the first thing you want to do when you reach goal?  So much to look forward to.  I will be praying for your uneventful surgery and speedy recovery.  Can't wait to read your post post-op, you're going to do great!!!

Welcome Andrea on your upcoming surgery. This is the best place to find things out and the support is awesome. You bet we will be here for you. We will move over on the bench for you and the nervosness is normal. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Thank you to everyone! you are all so wonderful!
I am having my surgery at Orange Coast memorial hospital in Fountain Valley, by Dr. Leport.  I am going to start thinking positive like you suggested, and hopefully that will help calm my fears!

Now If I could just figure out how to upload a picture, every time I try and upload one it says the file size is too large!
