Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Happy Tuesday my Friends and I hope you all survived the dreaded "M" word!

I was off to a great start yesterday and Rhonda's organizing skills had some effect on me because I started in on my closet and school where I keep all the art supplies. Well I was tooling along when I lost my balance an bit and hit my hand on the one side of the double doors and as I stepped out this shelf I had leaning up against it came crashing out and grazed the back of my calf leaving a really nasty contusion like blood blister thing on it! Ouch!!! It looks scratched but there is no broken skin. Go figure...I thought it was going to worse than that when I finally took my hand away because i was worried that I was cut open and did not want to go there if you know what I mean! Oh well...it is not hurting like it was...so boo hoo...just a big boo boo! It just kind of made me off kilter the rest of the day.

I do not know if I mentioned this on the boards, but I reconnected with an old friend. We had had some problems and his partner over time had really urged me to do something about it and I finally did. Last night OMG we gabbed on the phone for 3 hours...that is so not me if any of you know me because after teaching all day...I am not the biggest talker! We are trying to catch up on 4 years! It was all good!

So...let me see here...I know you are up Nikki cuz I see the post for April Lunch....have you heard anything at all from your doctor yet about the tests? I know you have to be on edge and know that I am thinking about you and keeping you in my thoughts.

ShyGoddess if you are reading this....do not let the letter of denial stop you from persuing surgery. You can get it overturned and you should either go on the DS board and get their help or contact an attorney from this site because you can fight and win no matter what. I know that some insurance companies deny DS's but I also know that some people have won their right to have a DS....some insurance companies consider it experimental! Good luck!

Joy I am glad you had a good weekend and a much needed break!!! I hope your mom's surgery goes well this time!! Glad you are back!

Pauline if you think you are a slow loser sobeit, but you have to look at it this way or you are going to drive yourself nuts....when at any other time have you lost 40 pounds??? Don't let people sabotage your thoughts...slow and steady wins the race girl! Just remember you had this surgery to be healthy! You are doing great no matter how you think about it!

Lisa C...regain...it is a snap to tell you the truth. The further you are out the easier it becomes to eat things and no matter what even though you have your tool if you do not eat properly you will gain weight....I did and managed to get myself under control before I really spiraled out of control. I am nearly 7 years out and have to be vigilant about what I eat or I will pack it on in a snap!

Monica how did it go at the doctors? Was that shot super horrible? I feel for you girl for sure!

LuLu how did the walk you and Rhonda went on go? I wondered all day thinking of you two tromping around the Crest Line something! How is your dog? How is your shoulder too?

Rhonda now be truthful...who was the slave driver? YOU I am sure!!!!!

Diane are you out there? No been on line girl...did all those cowboys wear you out?

Delores...what do you do for work where you are out on the road? Curious minds wanna know!

Hey Barb sounds like you were some busy gal at home this past weekend! I have to do some yard work and I am not looking forward to that one...I hate yard work! Too bad district people do not get a break...you know I have never thought of that at our district, but I guess they are working away! How is your father in law doing?

Hey Maureen I swear there is no rhyme nor reason why companies make you do the things they do...but how did the class go?

Hey Michele...that is cool you got your garden going!!! I wish I would plant one here, but I think there are different times in the desert that you grow things because of the extreme heat. Sounds like your son is going to have a fun spring break!! Good on you for keeping him busy!

Robin your kids are so dang adorable!!! Tell more about the hat parade....I so love it!!! Did you make him his hat?

Jules...how cool is that being picked up on? Don't sell yourself short...I have met you and you are a very pretty girl so why wouldn't guys wanna pick up on you??? Isn't Chico's great? I remember pining to buy clothes there....and you are right about the sizes....I would have killed just to get in their 3's....now I am a 1 in their clothes. You go girl...keep up the great work and just keeping looking hot and you nevah know what is going to happen!

Karen how cool is that?? Buying mediums??? I am so happy for you and I am glad you went out to the SD lunch...aren't they a great group of people?

Nancy aka Sunray....How did your first day at work go? I hope you were able to hang in there...I know I get bored at home, but I am glad to get back to routine also.

Katt hope you find a new job. It surely is hard thing to do right now in this economy. BTW...probably need to take a pass on this lunch...I have a lot to do that weekend as it is right before I have surgery.

Gus always great to see you posting on the morning post....glad you and Anna are just out their living the live...you two both deserve it!

Chris my friend...you know I am going to try and get up there during that camping weekend. I just can't camp...I might just wind up camping out at a friends house though! LOL....

Lola when is the big day? You know the marathon....I am just a big tard about dates!!!! How are the tootzies holding up?

Well I guess I had better get a move on...the clock is ticking away and I have to get in the rain locker and start the day.

Good Morning Janine and Calif friends!

Happy Tuesday!  It looks as if the rain is coming for the rest of the week.  It's all good though.  We still need it!

Janine - Owwwwwie!!!!  I hope you are ok!  I would be boo-hooing too!!! 

Work has been a bit stressful lately.  More lay-offs..... not getting our annual raises, and of course no one said anything to us...which I think is the worst part.  What ever happened to communication???  Ugh! Don't they think we deserve to know what is going on?

Anyway.........I started physical therapy for my wrist yesterday and I'm thinking that it is going to help.  I believe it's just tendonitis but they are going to do an MRI on Thursday.  Let's hope I get to keep my job!  That's what I am really stressed about.

Anyway, If everyone could please keep Jodi in their thoughts and prayers I would appreciate it.  She has been pretty sick and I am very worried about her.  We love you and miss you here on the boards Jodi!!!

Morning Janine .  . Jenni . . . thanks for the "when closets attack" story Janine . . . see what happens to us when we let them get out of shape? lol  sorry you were hurt.

Jeni ...I know what you mean about communication at work.  We have no raises coming this year either . ..plus our prima donna is transferring out . . .and guess what .. .she isn't being replaced ... so that leaves 2 of us to pick up her slack.  Actually, since we don't really think she did much anyway . . . it won't be that bad . .. but she is who is telling "them" that we can do it just fine . . .  (follow that one?).  Meanwhile . . .she is going where the cost of living is a lot lower . . .and they are letting her keep her salary . .. ughhhhh

Anyway . . . tomorrow is National Start Walking Day this Wednesday April 8^{th . . .so get out there and move it move it move it!}

OK I messed up my fonts and can't change them back . .. so I'll sign off for now . .. have to go get gas this morning, take my car in to be serviced, and then walk to the trolley to head for work.

Good Morning Calif........

The walk was great, Janine. We went out for four miles, hung out at this bridge why we had are snack, and relaxed in the shade to the sound of the water below. It was a bit hot headed back, but over all a great day. Per the garmen, we made it 8.29 miles in four hours, with a few stops along the way. Ran across a few people also out enjoying the day. One was in need of a shower, 3 days ago. WOW!! Made our eyes water. We took Baybe with us, Rhonda Horse of a dog, and she was great, never took off more then 20 feet, and always kept her self between Rhonda and the others. Just like a good watch dog would do. But did not show any meanness. Just aware of them.

Frankie is good. I spoke with the vet before going, and set up the appointment. They gave him a "cone" to wear, too keep him from licking his boo boo, and some thing pain, and antibiotics. (sp?) When I got home, Frankie had his smile back. I was so happy. That little thing just make you smile when you see him. He is SOOO flipping cute. 

Today is back to work. UGH! My shoulder is doing good. Not to bad. I can move it this morning without tears, and that is always good. My ankle, which was a bit sore after the walk, is great today. I think I might of hurt it, when Rhonda and took a few more "fun" trails down, and I almost ended up on my behind. I think the steep sloop might have hurt my ankle. But all is great this morning.

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

OUCH that does not sound good at all but glad it wasn't worse.  The shot was not as bad as I thought it would be, but my writst is sore now if I am not wearing this huge brace he has me in now.  I am suppose to wear it 24/ 7 unless i'm dealing with water.  Today Jordyn's dad will be here so I will have help running errands.

I am exhausted, my child has been up since 4 itching.  She tossed and turned on me all night so I have had about 2 hours collectively of sleep.  I am hoping for a really good nap on her part today before  we run errands and not just 2 minutes in the car.

Good morning Janine and Cali Guys and gals,

Let's see yesterday was awesome.   I went with a good freind on a hike on Pacific Crest Trail.  We did about 8 miles but it is a tough trail really.  We wanted to go to the hot springs but we think we need like 8 hours to do that maybe 9 if we want to spend anytime there, and get out of there before dark.  We also did not take enough water with us, so next time we will know we need to take twice as much as it is hot up there.  We took my Dog Baybee up with us and she was so good, I was so impressed she stayed right with us and was so well behaved.  She even gave another hiker the evil eye for us and that was nice.  lol.  I had a fun day and really enjoyed the company and the chatting all the way and it felt good to work so hard.  Well today I am going to just catch up on laundry as I have fallen behind once again!  I have just played too much.  So today it is work work work.  Everyone have an awesome day today and just enjoy and do something nice for you today.  You need to remember you deserve to be treated well, so start doing it!

Ouch Janine.... sorry to hear you got injured. I'd blame it on Rhonda if I were you. She inspired you to get organized so there ya go!

I am in recovery mode myself after hurting my back Saturday at the mobile home cleaning out the storage/tool shed. On top of that the shed has a short door and carrying out a box I whacked my head good on the jamb. D says I have a concussion. Don't know for sure but he might be right I guess. But on the up side my back is finally feeling better this morning.

Yesterday was a day in the cube at work and sales do continue to be RELATIVELY strong for which I am thankful. Hope it's the beginnings of the end of our slowdown. Today back to the cube and three more til the weekend! Saturday we are having a couple of friends over for dinner. Time to try re-connecting to the world and learning what my life is going to look like after all the changes don't you think?

Yes it is all my fault.  I seem to do that to people!  lol  If you need help with your mobile home, let me know I would love to come and help you.  I know I am a sick individual, but I enjoy organizing.  I just wish someone in my huge family would feel the same.  I get one thing organized and then someone messess up 3 other things!  What can a body do?  lol.  Hope you really enjoy jumping back into life.  You are an incredible man, a strong man and a loving man.  You are going to come out even better.  I am glad you are back.  I have missed you my buddy.

I had a nice surprise yesterday the surgeon's coordinator called me and told me I was number 10 on his list.  It is getting closer I told her I would take a cancel if he had one.  Looks like most likely in June.  I can wait a little longer.

Well I am an auditor, I know the "A" word.  But I do not work for the IRS at least...ha ha ha!!  I audit alcohol manufactures.  There are so many wineries we could never get them all done!!  Good thing I am not a drinker!

As usual, a fantastic shout out, Janine, even with the boo hoo owie.  Hope your leg doesn't give you much trouble and your hand gets to feeling better.

Work went well yesterday, especially because I ended up being the only one in the office all afternoon. The phones stayed quiet so I was able to process 3 weeks of checks and get them to the bank.  Today is credit card processing in addition to a staff meeting to go over our annual convention in Maui!! this year.

I have unfortunately 'found' the downside to this surgery;  I have been suffering almost unbearable constipation :-(  Been 3 days now; went to my Monday nite support group and they advised me I could use a stool softner...Thank the Lord!!  I've been using Benefiber, as recommended by Kaiser, but it just wasn't 'moving' things, if ya know what I mean? LOL  Thankfully, this morning, my system seems to be trying to get back on track..not a whole lot of fun..but atleast the 'pressure' is gone and I don't feel so bloated.

Rain is suppose to be back by 4pm today and last thru Friday. I don't care if it rains during the week; just be finished by Saturday! Now that I'm back to work, I value my weekends...want to be outside after being in the office all week.
