Insurance Plastics Question
So I am feeling a little guilty i have to admit for even asking or bringing this up since there are a lot of people out there fighting insurance to even get surgery done in the first place. But I am not sure where to turn for help so here it is;
I have to write a letter of appeal to get my abdomenplasty. I have never had to do this before and was wondering if anyone has an example or some thoughts on the letter. I have no idea where to even start. I am having itching under my saggy kangaroo pouch. I have never been to the doctor for it because frankly, I am in the medical field and like to stay away from the environment all together. I am one of those who don't just go to the doctor for a cold etc. I know I should have seen someone sooner to have this documented but I didn't want to take the time off of work to do so. I have been content with my progress and this has just been something i have learned to deal with- just like the itching under by arms on my bat wings. Anyway, the insurance company said there are 3 conditions and i met only 2 of them. Based on the photograph they sent (i was naked) they denied it saying my kangaroo pouch doesn't exceed the pubic bone therefore it's not medically necessary. Blah blah blah.
Anyway, the appeal process.... so my fight starts now. I have to write a letter to appeal their decision. I guess I need to focus on the itching in my letter. Any thoughts?
