Nadine,

Congratulations on your surgiversary and thank you so much for your honest story.  I am 3 mos post surgery and your story really helps to remind me just what a gift this surgery is and how I can never take it for granted.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Congratulations again,

Barb

Hi Nadine, Remember me? I don't post much any more but I had to tell you congratulations on your 5 year surgiversary. I never got surgery but I am again back to seriously persuing it. This time I am opting for the DS. Unfortunatly, when I came back to the board with that news some members were pretty rude to me. Anyhow, I still love to see some ot the old gang posting. Gail

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I sure hope to have inspired some. Every so often I will get an email from a new OH'r asking questions or commenting on my journey. This site is all about support.

Gail.....of course I remember you. I wish you the best of luck on your journey and if people are rude about your decision on which sugery you have, I say...."F" em.  You don't have to live with them.

Yeah Gail, I told you about some rudeness that I endured. I wish more people would check out the DS board and maybe if more people were opting for it, then more docs would become experienced in doing it, ya know?

Happy surgiversary to you Nadine. I wish you all the best. Getting back to basics did not work for me as I have a fast follow-through and am going to get the DS on May 19th. I wish I had researched this procedure first thing; it is more condusive to my lifestyle. I am so psyched up about this; I just wish more people would check out the DS board before they put it down.
