Morning one and all . . . hope all is well with everyone!  This week we lost 16.7 lbs . . . (but I KNOW there was more than this lost!  If someone finds it - let me know).

All this walking I have to do to stay on my training schedule is going to get tougher and tougher - only because there aren't enough hours in a day.  I guess that is what gyms are for late at night . . .or I could get my butt up at 4:30 to be there when it opens at 5 and get some walking in then - and still get to work by 7:15?  choices, choices, choices!

I'm making new hats for our walk . .. this is my Myla modeling the beginning for me . . . she will be 4 on the 20th . .. and wants feathers on her hat too, but of course, we could not FIND it . . . so I have to get her another one!

Have a great day everyone!

Chris

Oh Chris,

Myla is adorable.  My daughter has that same dress!  Now she does not have one of those fancy hats though.  I love that hat.  Yes the Easter bunny is on his way.  Saturday we shall be coloring eggs and peparing for his visit.   We color code the eggs with all these kids so the little ones get a chance.  We are doing real eggs this year, to be different.  The kids are going to have fun.  I have not decided what to cook yet, probably a ham, or actually I would love to have a BBQ  I am usually way ahead on planning these things but this time I have not yet completed the plan.  I got the kids goodies and all, but not planned the meal.  How funny is that I always used to plan the meal first, now it is the last thing I think about.  lol  boy has life changed.  Well today I am babysitting my neighbors children once again.  She is supposed to be packing but is really playing.  Naughty girl.  I am coaching her in parenting and also working with her childrens behaviors.  They have come so far in the week and 1/2 I have worked with them.  The children take naps now, they eat now, they don't run in the house, It is really amazing as I was worried for a moment that there was no hope for 1 of them but he is actually doing fabulous, and the Mom is holding these kids accountable for their actions.  She is doing better than I ever thought.  WEll enough about me.  I hope everyone has an awesome day and remember to do something nice for just you.

Rhonda,

I think we're gonna have to give you yet another nickname.... Super Nanny!  She better move on over cuz you might take her place on TV!  I think it's wonderful that you're helping her with those skills.  I wish there were more people in the wold like you!  For many reasons, but you have gifts lady!

Hugs and have a great day.

Barb,

Thanks for the kuddos!  Funny thing when that Super Nanny first came out I wanted to scream at her as she stole all my programs.  I use the Naughty chair/mat/room etc.  I did the chart!  I was so mad at her!  lol  She gives great advice.  When I had my first son years ago 31 to be exact, I was too young and stupid.  I think I was a horrible mother the first time around.  I vowed that If I ever had any more children I would do everything I could to be the best parent I could be.  I took tons and tons of classes went to seminars everything.  If there was a book about parenting I read it.  Then for years I taught foster parents in O.C.  That was the most rewarding of all.  Kids are so awesome.  They will be what you tell them they are.  If you tell them they are bad they will be.  If you tell them they are smart they will be.  They love guidelines and they love to test your guidines and they will each and every chance they get.  I find them to be little puzzles that you get the joy and pleasure of figuring out.  Sometimes you can and sometimes you can't but what a joy to give it your best shot.  You talk about gifts I took a spiritual class about ones gifts and each of us had the pleasure of finding out what our gift from God was.  Mine of course was service.  I already knew this as it brings me so much joy.  Everyone has gifts.  Some people have very precious gifts where they are only used once in a lifetime, some have many that they are asked to do daily.  They all have the same value, no matter how great or small we think they are.  Each and every person is special just as their gifts are.  Sorry I kinda got long winded on that.  Thanks for the sweet comments though I appriciate them.

Are you my twin that got separated from me at birth?  You and I are so much alike it's almost too scary!   We both love to help, teach and our love of children is just amazing.  I just love them!  They are so precious and amazing and awsome!

OMG is Myla just as cute as button!!! You have been holding out on us Chris...and Oh yeah the hat is cute, but she is cuter!!!!

I do not know were people are Chris...might be because people have spring break and are getting ready for Easter maybe? Who knows...I just hate to see things fall off...it only takes a minute to log on and post really!

I am trying to figure out how I am going to muddle through the day. I am tired because I got up before 2 and of course was too lazy to post myself! LOL I know today is going to be long and tomorrow even longer even though we get out of school at 12:15. The kids are off the hook squirrely and I am just about to the rim with the behavior.

Although, I do have to say....I have a couple two or three boys who have been just the best to me lately...they have helped me schlup....dump...unpack everything and anything to help me. The students know I have limitations and actually they are more than willing to help me. I think I am going to buy them yearbooks since they are 8th graders to thank them...but will surprise them!

I do not know about you Chris but I am looking forward to Easter with my grandbabies...I have gotten them eggs and goodies...no no candy...just trinkets that they can play with and books, but I want them to find their eggs. With both of them walking, I think it is going to be fun fun fun!!!

Have a great day....great lady!

Good morning everyone.  Can not let my daughter see this adorable pic of Myla she will want "one like that".  The rain has made her stir crazy, no park yesterday.  I decided to go through my closet and get everything out that no longer fits.  It made a lot of space!!!  Had to fill it up again with some things I found hiding in the garage.  I love to yo yo with my weight so have some smaller sizes in pants but not tops??  I guess I gave them to my sister.  I have enough to get by with for now.  My trip to the thrift store helped out also.  I needed some more sweatshirts, I seem to be colder now.  What is going to happen after surgery, will I be in the deep freeze--yikes!

Have a wonderful day

Good Morning Chris and Cali Friends,

Myla is just so cute and what a great hat too.

I am working just 4 hrs today and will take the afternoon and tomorrow off as vacation days and we get Monday off as a District/board holiday.  So a nice 41/2 day weekend for me.

I am going over to the Cal Bookstore this afternoon with my Mother-in-Law to get "stuff" for Ron's graduation.  His cap and gown, his invitations, and things that folks have sent me to get for him.  We're not doing the gift thing but are getting him Cal stuff, alumni mug, license plate frame, diploma frame, etc,  So that will be a fun afternoon out.

Tonight band rehearsal since I didn't go last week and next week is spring break.

Don't know what we're going to do for Easter yet, my father-in-law will still be in the convelescent hospital probably until next week sometime.  I took Thanksgiving over to him when he was there in Nov, but not too sure about Easter.

Well, hope everyone has a wonderful day.  It's going to be rainy up here in the Bay Area.

Hugs,
Barb
