Easter in the E R

After many many many many many many endless tests -  you name it, everything has come back normal.  My surgeon suspects that I may have a "kink" which is a small bowel obstruction that comes and goes.  Eventually it un-kinks itself and it's something that merely impossible to identify with alllllll the freak'n tests I've had done within the past 2 years.

I guess I have to wait until a full blown bowel obstruction.  I've been to ER about 8 times within 2 years due to severe abdominal pain - let me tell you.....You'll know when I'm in ER because I'm yelling, moaning, and crying.....It's no fun.  As soon as I begin to feel that small little discomfort feeling around my abdomen, I pray to god that it goes away quick and I begin to get somewhat ready to drive to ER.  The last time I had to run to ER was in Dec 08.  I have not felt any discomfort  since then and it seems as though the kink unkinked itself?

Best of luck and listen to your body because ER is not fun.

Wow.  That sounds painful.  I just looked on your profile.  You look amazing.  I had my brother ask me if it was worth it?  I said absolutely 100% yes.  Even with the darn complications.  I would rather eat beans the rest of my life than die from complications from diabetes.  Some days its a little depressing, but most of the time, I am ok.  I still feel I made the right decision.  I am glad you haven't had any more complications since December.  I am sending positive thoughts your way.  Thank you so much for sharing.  It's nice to know I'm not alone out there.

Linda,

So sorry you were not feeling well.  I cannot tell you anything more than what you have already heard.  Please take care of yourself and get better soon.  I will be praying for you.

Kim

Sucralfate is the generic name of the drug and it is cheap, cheap, cheap!!!  Call your local WallyWorld for their price.

Good luck!  I usethis on my elderly puppy who has an ulcer and my script for the dog works out to .80 a pill (I am sure the liquid cannot be that much more).  Keeps my doggie happy and his tummy really happy!

Hugs to you!!

My Dr wants me taking the liquid.  I was told that they don't make the liquid in the generic form.  It's on my formulary, I just haven't met my deductable yet.  But thanks
