Hello Donna and thanks for the welcome. Yes I am contemplating on getting the lapband through my health insurance Kaiser. Ufortunately I have to wait 6 months to get on the list and another 6 months of  WLS classes, so until that is complete I really don't know where the surgery will take place. The informational seminar I attended was very informative and that is where I found out about  OH.com. This is a very good place for information and all the people are very nice and supportive. Hope to chat with u soon.
