Insurance Issues

So I've long since decided I want WLS, the problem is my work doesn't provide benefits. I've also tried on multiple occasions to get insurance but I can't due to my weight. Did anyone else run into this issue and if so how did you deal? Were you able to find a provider to cover you?

I'm 27, 380lbs and 5'11" which brings my BMI to a 53.

Most HMO's like Kaiser or Blue Cross HMO's don't have pre-existing condition issues.   You may pay a little more but it will be worth it in the long run.  Other option, if you can swing it is Mexico, although I don't have first hand knowledge, there are some that have used that as a self pay option.
