Happy TGIF
Morning Janine and Cali gang ^_^
Another beautiful day here in Sacramento...gonna hit the 80's today and thru Sunday...absolutely wonderful weather.
Leaving work early today to head out for camping trip with our carving group...first trip since surgery. Boy, was it difficult packing the frig..I know what I'm gonna eat all weekend...but trying to pack food for hubby, especially since I don't cook anymore...and he wasn't any help: 'anything will be fine'....yeah, sure, until he decides he wants something specific and I didn't bring it! LOL Tonight we have a group soup and salad potluck and tomorrow nite we have a full potluck with pastas and meats and the whole nine yards. I just may be eating in our rig first and then go to the dinners for the fellowship ^_^
Other than that, my week has been busy but steady..nothing earth shattering. A friend made the comment I looked tired when she saw me Tuesday so I've been forcing myself to bed by 10:30...had to give up watching Jay til 12:30 LOL
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Looking at the 100's already, Janine??? Man, I hope we don't see that up our way for at least 2 more months! Will be interesting to see how this old body handles the heat with 50-60lbs less weight :-)

Then I am going to go put poop on the garden beds and then take Mom to PT.Phewww

And like Janine, I might take the bike out and blow the cobwebs out of my brain. LOL
Have a great one everybody!!

I went to pick up my mother's watch from the watch repair place in LB. I noticed that it is anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes faster. Well, I called the watch guy and he told me the bring in the watch. It would take them 30 minutes to fix it. Fine by me, I can go to Lucille's down the street.
I have reset the watch and is keeping a close eye on what time my watch is compared to the real time. This watch is very special to me. It used to be my mom's nursing watch. I think of her every time I look at it.
I told the watchmaker that my mom used to keep her jewerly in a pottychair
Besides going to LB tonight, I will get my clothes ready for the laundrymat tomorrow. After laundry, I have to go do a 4 mile run. After the run, I will be attending a meeting. Sunday, my cousin is cooking a belated Easter dinner.

But...I did do some scrapbooking and got alot of years done. Then tomorrow (Saturday) I walk in the MS Walk in Lancaster. I do that for my mom...In her memory. Tomorrow will be a teary day for me but dh will be there and I can lean on him if need be..
Have a great weekend everyone! Sorry I'll be missing the support group in Rosamond but my mom was worth it. And there's still a slight chance I can make it, albeit late.

TGIF is all I can say! Looks like we will be headed out to the desert this summer for a golf tournament so as soon as I know the details I will let you know so we can make some plans..
Oh.. and did I tell you that my mom and I went to Palm Springs a few months back for the PS Follies? It is a tradition for mom that she usually does with a BFF of hers but her BFF was busy and couldn't make it this year so I stepped in. Would have called you but mom had the day planned from beginning to end like a well orchestrated military strike! Geesh.. But HOLY CRAP was that show fun.. I was floored.. Gonna have to go do that again!

Just got home from dinner, that was nice. Some great news came my way today....
1) My father-in-law gets out of the convelescent hospital tomorrow.
2) I am taking Ron to Hawaii for Graduation! Yee haw! He's never been and I had so many airline miles that I had to use, so we're gonna go. One of the guys I work with has a time share which took care of 2 nights, the rest I will get. I am SO excited, we're going in June to Maui and Oahu.
I am going to support group in Brentwood tomorrow a.m. and then help out with my father-in-law if needed in the afternoon.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Hugs,
Barb
