Hi Cate,
Sorry I haven't gotten back to you. Things have been crazy...we need to get together!!! Has your daughter had the baby?
I am glad to see you back on the Cali board...I know I haven't been on much, but I am also back.
You have done so wonderful with your weight loss and I want you to know we have a support group that meets once a month in San Dimas on Saturdays @ 10:00am....usually the first Saturday of the month. It would be GREAT if you could join us. I will PM you my number and call me anytime...if you just want to talk to get together for coffee.
Take care...hope to talk to you soon!!!
Hugs, Michele

Aloha Cate-
I am not as familiar with your surgery type but I bet we have to follow the same rules- protein, exercise, low carbs, water , vitamins and journaling?
Choose some simple goals for each day-
I WILL
-Hit my protein even if it means every bite I eat contains some protein
-Exercise because in addition to burning calories, my exercise is time for ME ( something we as a group tend to neglect) and I'll look better, release a boatload of endorphins, improve my blood pressure and build muscle to increase my resting metabolic rate
-Avoid bread, rice, pasta and sweets because eating them means I'm NOT eating protein
-Drink my water to keep my kidneys happy and avoid dreaded constipation
-Take all my vitamins and calcium because I want my blood to be red, not pink from anemia, and my bones to be hard, not rubbery from lack of calcium
-Journal to see and track evvery bite I put in my mouth because unwritten calories still count, but I forget about them
You can do this. XOLori
