Oh Yeah it's TGIF!!!!

Okay this day did not come quick enough...let's all do the happy dance because today is the long overdue TGIF!!!!!

I do not know about you guys, but it seems like it took like FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORever to get here! I had a rough week with the kids and next week is going to be LOCO with testing!

So through the blurry eyes this morning...lets see what is going on.....

Maureen is going to StageCoach Fest....I think the one down here because I do not know of another and she is getting to be a skinny beeeeeeeeeatch...congrats on your wow moment Maureen!

Monica and Lena are literally going to run their asses off....we are going to see twig and no bootay at the finish lines!! Way to GO girls!

Jean did you survive the babysitting experience...and oh yeah...I hate bickering with little ones myself!

Chris you rock girl signing up the walk....big step!!! I am proud of you and as always thanks for keeping track of those numbers...not too bad of a shabby week...oh and on a side note...they had a day late goodie fest for the workers at school. Guess us teachers are coming up next!

Rhonda how are you feeling? Laundry monster was really on your back. YUCK....you would be shocked if you knew how little I did my wash....two loads of personals every few weeks...(have way too many clothes) and one load of sheets a week and Jeff does the towels....he makes beds too after I wash them (he wants them to stay on LOL). Hope all the kiddies are doing well too.

Shelly as far as your personality changes...you will change or lets just say improve. You were right very odd....people just do not get it. My boys said I changed and what changed is I got to where I did not put up with people's BS any longer because I was not scared of being called a fat whatever....everything was because I was fat you know! Dependent on the situation....I can go either way with being out there or shy now....but one thing that has not or will not change is being true to myself! So many unanswered questions for you right now...it is hard when we cannot predict the future...just hang in there girl.

Gus do you and Anna have a fun and crazy kind of weekend planned? You two are always on the go!! I think it is great!

Sue I hope everything goes okay for you today...will be thinking about you.  I had an abalation and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. It has been 5 years now and OMG...the other day I was putting some things away and rearranging and I found some personal items....I just chuckled to myself and thought about the doctor telling me to hang on to the stuff for a few years you never know. Well my primary told me recently that it was all dried up and I am definitely through menopause although I still get the flashes. Whatever it is...I am just glad that I will never have to use a plug or a cotton pony again LOL Good luck today!!!

Monica W....I am sorry that you have had a rough week...was it a comob of teaching, motherhood, and school? OMG it is not like just one of them all of them coupled with the fact that you are retaining....I hope this weekend you can relax a bit!

Michele I am so happy that your granddaughter has you in her life. I just can't image you being the kind of person who would do no less! Like I said...speaks volumes about who you are and there are few people around here who have done the same thing....you never stop being a mom even when it is your grandchild!

Barb are you burnt the hell out with the long day you had yesterday? I do not know how some of you do it....work all day and then other responsibilities...some days all I can think about is just coming home and crashing because I get so drained at work. Hey when does your hubby graduate and how is your fil doing?

Funny how it gets when you are here all the time because you can and then you have to go back and be responsible. You are doing a great job on rockin that tool! Eileen hope that your labs come back fine and dandy...I am sure they will! I hope your mouth is feeling better...sometimes when they poke around in there a lot...it is a big ouchie okay soreness. I loved it the last time I had mine cleaned....hygenist said to my dentist....she has excellent oral hygene...she said she wished all her patients were like me. That really made me feel good too not to mention it took less that 15 minutes to pick around in there!

Nikki how are you doing? You are so quiet on the boards lately. Not a lot to say? I wish I could come on down for the dinner, but not on a week night for sure! This summer I will definitely make something!

Naomi....looking forward to the weekend? Did your boss do anything nice for you? I sure hope so!!!

Hey Bubba if you are reading this....weigh to go dude on your wl pre surgery! You are going to really rock that tool when you get your surgery!

Dawn wow a hermit crab rescuer...I have never heard of that one!! I think it is way cool that you are taking them in when they need homes. I am a firm believer in if you cannot take care of the pet and make a committment then you should not have one. People do not get it...kittens and puppies are cute and then when the reality sets in...and that is with any pet...it is like OMG what did I do! Good on you!

Donna don't get frustrated....stalls happen and you have done excellent with your wl so far....just keep doing what you are supposed to be doing and the weight will eventually come off. I got a lot of stalls and then would dump a huge amount. Hang in there for sure!

Julie you hang in there also....get a swatter when that food keeps wanting to fly in your mouth. I feel your pain girl big time and sometimes it is just plain ass hard to not give in to your old habits. Like I said hang in there!

Heather....we all want to know when you hit those onederlands....that tastes super good and all of us will tell you that one!!! Keep up the hard work!

Good Morning Janine and Cali Guys and Gals!

Yep the laundry monster almost swollowed me up!  But as of this morning I am officially caught up.  I have a busy day and a busy few weeks coming up.  I have family coming in on Thursday and have to move rooms around to accomodate them.  We also have to get the pool ready and super duper clean this weekend as we always do a lot of swiming when they come.  I also have to plan a little party on Thursday for my husbands Birthday.  (his family is coming in on Thursday).  Then I have to plan  a hike for them on Friday and pack a picnic.  I will be cooking pretty much the whole time they are here, but that is what I do anyways.  lol.  I was at the market last night and really noticed how much different my cart looks now than it did before.  I start with the fruits and veggies now instead of the breads and cookies.  I also keep less in my fridge as I shop more often for fre****ems instead of canned and processed.  I even tried salad for the first time last night and it was delicious.  So now we are doing a little salad with our dinner  from now on.  Well this weekend brings the Long Beach Coffee and picking up my T-shirt and goodie bag for the Revlon run.  Should be fun.  I am also looking forward to mugging Jean in the parking lot of Starbucks for her size 14 pants and shorts.  I can't wait as she has the best stuff.  I am also bringing a huge bag of stuff and I look forward to sharing that with others.  See you all tomorrow at the coffee.  Take care and see you all soon.  Remember to be good to you today, you are the only you you got.

I wish I could say YAA to Friday, but it is just another work day on the way to finally having a couple days off Tues and Wed. I cant wait until my probation is over and I dont feel it so necessary to do whatever they want of me.
Ya I have been quiet lately. I have been very depressed and trying to be all up and happy and deal with everyone at work is making me exhausted. So I come home and just want the world to go away and try to sleep. The next morning I still wake up tired so it seems to be an endless cycle. I am lurking though.
Plans this weekend, ummmm, oh ya WORK, lol!! Days 6 & 7. Oh well probation should be over tomorrow.

Wow girlfriend - what a great shout out - always the BEST.  yesterday was great - my little Mackers (Mackenzie) was  just an angel and so good all day.  Watcher "HER" shows in her mommy and daddys room so I didn't have to watch cartoons all day - she played and danced and sang - what fun....

So - after babysitting I made a Victoria Secret run as I had a $10 off coupon and bought a few undergarments.....its so fun.
Tomorrow brings LB coffee and picking up our T's and then some lunch....should be a blast.  And the good news is, I have arranged to have an organization come right to my house on Monday to pick up all of the left over clothes - they are all going to LB Rescue Mission which makes me feel great because they will go to women and moms that are struggling....even better than the good will because they won't be resold for any profit.  But it sounds like I better bring a body guard to starbucks tomorrow as I hear around the hood that I am going to get mugged in the parking lot....ROFLMAO.  And yes Rhonda....there are even some items that still have the tags on them....

So today I am going to see my WLS dr for 1 year follow up - not quite 2 years out but thats ok.  He hasn't seen me in a year so it should be pretty fun when he comes in the room....

So thats about it for me....busy day tomorrow but all fun.....then Sunday is still up in the air....

Jean sounds like a busy day yesterday but fun!  I can't wait for the coffee and to see everyone.  Do you want to borrow my uncle Guido as your body guard for tomorrow? OOOPs No I am the one doing the mugging why should I make it hard on myself!  lol.  Your a hoot Ms. Jean and I can't wait to see you tomorrow. I am so glad that you have a place for the clothing to go to afterwards.  I am bringing a big bag and if I get time I am going to go through more things in my closet to see what I can come up with.  I do a clothing exchange up here for kids and I am dropping off like 10 bags of things I have collected and washed and sized.  This place is a exchange but if you need clothes and have nothing to exchange you can still get what you need/want.  I love giving kids clothes to them.  Makes me smile!  I also have some mens clothing, can I bring that for you to send to the Rescue Mission?  If that is O.K. with you I will just let me know.

TGIF Janine and the Cali Kids...

This weekend is a hermie rescue, local festival, jeans shopping for dh (his birthday soon) and looking for twist and sip propel or G2 bottles. I'm nearly desperate. I emailed someone on ebay who was selling a case of bottles and they won't open the case to tell me what sort of tops they have. No WAY am I buying a case of bottles if the tops are a mystery...

Our biggest hermit crab successfully molted after being buried for 10 weeks. Whew. When they get that old (estimate on him is 40 years) it's tough. He looks all pointy and hairy...looks really good. The good thing is that he'll be over a year  maybe two before he molts again. The little guys can molt 5-7 times a year until they get big.

Hermit crabs are more desperate than puppies(although we get those dropped off in our neighborhood too). They don't breed in captivity so all the ones you see came from the wild. They need alot of specialized care, like water WITHOUT chloramines (or chlorine) and humdity or their "lungs" scab over and they suffocate slowly. Their natural habitat is more like Key West. 70-80 degrees and 70-80 percent humidity. Having them on the desert is hard and wrong. But we have a well for water with no added chemicals and we monitor humidity constantly. They can live over 50 years. I have a friend on a website who has had her two for 35 years.

I'm taking more goodies in to sell at work today .  . we have a vending machine there, so I'm careful not to cross the line of selling what they have - the vending lady even bought some of my stuff the other day lol

Tomorrow is work .  . . and then a pot luck dinner tomorrow night with the group from Costco .  . . I usually can't get to their get-togethers because of my regular job, so I'm being social this time - most of them are hilarious . . . and I'm one of the younger ones at 58!

Only 2 weeks to Yosemite . .. I can't wait for that!  I've been on Yosemite withdrawal for 2 years now .  . . and this time I'm going to see it by walking all over!  Look out bears - here I come!

Awesome shout out Janine.  Yes, we had a great Administrative Assistant's day Wednesday.  We got flowers, Starbucks cards, a candy-gram that had the message spelled out in candy bars, and then if that wasn't enough... We had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and were told to go home after that!  So much fun!  Hope everyone else had a good day as well and that your bosses remembered to show their appreciation of all you do.  I know mine did!  Wow!

Looking forward to coffee tomorrow with the gang, picking up T-shirts and lunch.  Sounds like another fun day!

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends,

Happy TGIF, oh ya, I sure do need it.  Thanks for the great shout out Janine, wonderful as usual.

Yes, it was a long day yesterday but my music is my creative outlet, so I forget it's 10:30 p.m. when I get home.  I am running on high octane after playing for 2 hours, so it's hard to settle down.  We have our final concert of the year on May 8th and then I get to play in the Pops Band for 4th of July and that is ALWAYS so much fun. We're playing while the fireworks are exploding over our heads!

My father-in-law is home and doing well.  They are bringing therapy to his home and I think that will work out well to get him stronger.

Ron will graduate May 18th!  YIPPEE.  Then, although he knows it now, I am whisking him off to Hawaii for his graduation present.  He has never been so I am really excited.  We're going to renew our vows on the beach.  I will have to find some nice sundress to wear that morning.

So far a quiet weekend planned, but that always seems to get filled up with stuff.
