First thing to do is to make sure you are doing all the right things:

Are you getting enough grams of protein everyday?

Do you drink at least 64 ounces of water everyday?

Are you moving, walking, exercising?

If you're missing one of those things from your daily routine, start there.

Keep a food journal and log every. single. bite. of. food that goes in your mouth. I doubt you can over eat at only a few months out but its a good habit to develop. I like www.fitday.com and it's free. It will track your protein for you.

You just had surgery so it's important to remmeber that it is almost impossible to not lose weight as this early stage. Your body and metabolism will make adjustments along the way, so even though the scale isn't moving be patient. It WILL happen.  :D

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

I still struggle to get in all my water.  Take a water bottle with you EVERYWHERE.  Your body needs tha****er to metabolize all the fat its trying to burn up. It's also really important for the health of your skin, internal organs....etc.

I know it's hard when you're busy, but it's important. You can do it!

Hi Delta,
I know how you feel! But I also know It's my own fault for not taking my protein I can't find any i like. And I also don't get my 64oz  of water in and I just started working out again after not going to the gym for 2 weeks. I hope the pounds start coming off for both of us!  Good Luck.

I was having a hard time getting the water in now i get 96 oz + per day, because i love iced tea. I would recommmend you doing the 5 day pouch test. we are only a couple months out and you stopped losing after the first month. I would do a food journal and excercise, excercise. When i stalled at about 2 months i ramped up the excercise and got back on track.. Do you go to a support group?

good luck

Thanks everyone.Hi Deanie, glad to hear your getting all your water in and hopefully this stall ends quickly for the both of us.This is so frustrating i dont eat bread, tortillas, potatoes, rice or sweets of any kind and my scale still doesn't budge GRRRRRRRRRRRRR ! I do go to a support group, and i keep a food diary on fitday . I guess i better start exercising more and force more water in.water is the one area the i really struggle with,Dr.says no tea of coffee because of the caffiene and im burnt out on crystal lite.

Hi Delta
I wasn't gonna post anything because the prior posters had already given you the 3 main tips to keep in mind; however, you can drink tea or coffee...just keep it DECAF!!  I have found some delicious flavors in Farmer's decaf tea and also Bigelow has a raspberry to die for ;-)  They can be used either hot or cold...and you can mix and match for great tastes treats.  And hopefully, when you drink Crystal Light...you do get the one that has no caffeine, right?  Before I was told that some have it, I ended up buying the wrong one :-(

Good luck in getting those lbs to drop; just remember, you can also be losing inches..sometimes our bodies need to take a break and 'catch up' ^_^

I know stalls and plateaus can be frustrating... But keep in mind that you are prolly losing inches. I had a 3-4 week stall but when I measured I'd lost almost 5 inches! So if you can, check to see if you are losing there :)
