Portion Control?

I am over 3 months out and I can change from day to day the amount of food/water I can take in.

So curiosity has me wondering, how far out are you, and how much do you eat on a daily basis?
What is your portion sizes for one meal?

I am 3 mo post op. Last night for supper I had about 3/4cup of bbq potatoes & carrots and about 4-5 good bites of bbq chicken and I was pretty full.

Hi,

I am about 4 1/2 months out. Like you there are days I can eat more then others, it can even be the same thing so I don't think its consistency differences. I really don't understand why this is.

I eat 4-6 small meals a day usually an ounce to 2 ounces of protein then IF I still have room I will eat some veggies. I can not get in all my protein from food, so I still supplement with the shakes. Water I am not as good at I get in 40-70 oz a day depending on my schedule.

I'm almost 6wks out...still in stage 3 on modified soft foods. Portion size is 1/4-1/2c at each meal..mostly protein, especially breakfast and lunch.  Dinner I try to add some kind of veggie or potato (just 4-5 bites if I am not too full from protein).  Water is still a struggle, best I've done so far in a day is 48oz...usually amount is 36-40oz.  No snacks and no protein shakes/drinks...but I'm thinking about adding a protein shake in the evening just to up my grams per day.

I am generally taking in 2 oz of meat, an oz of carb and an oz or two of vege.  I have a hard time getting in 1,000 calories per day but always seem to do well with my protein intake as I do cheese for both snacks, sf jello in the evening and my protein shake for breakfast.

You are doing so great.. I try to eat some protein at each meal, even breakfast as my Dr. wants me to get off the protein drinks..  So hard..

8 months out and I eat about 5 mini meals a day for the most part all my protein comes from meals but if I start to run short I drink a protein shot Yuk..but it is 2 shallows and I am telling myself just do it yeah big baby.LOL (after the gag ) All meals start with protein about (3 ozs) then a friut or veggie about 2-3 ozs) and about every other I have just started whole grain pasta or starchy veggies, I even had scalloped potatoesOMG they were so good but I could only eat about a table spoon. There are some days I can't eat 1 oz of any food. And there is no reason for it.I guess it is my pouch reminding me it is there and working well. 85 pounds down! When food sounds horrible I eat my eggs they are my friends and after that it is my Fage yogut. But get in 70+ grains of protein in everyday!! Water about 62 oz and that is pushing it (the bladder that is.LOL)
