Goodmorning Cali Crew,

Sounds like everyone so far is having a good weekend. My day at work yesterday was very long, but at least it was a good day, and not crazy busy. I have so much to do today, i'm not sure where to start. Back to work tomorrow. One day off is not enough to get everything done. I hope everyone has a great Sunday, and a wonderful week.

Good morning Cali!

Lu, awesome shout out.  I had a great day yesterday with OH friends at LB Coffee, so much fun.  And afterwards went to pick up my goodie bag for the Revlon Walk and then lunch afterwards with Jean, Rhonda, Monica and Miss Jordyn, Diane and Doug.  That was a fun day.

Today is chore day and getting ready for the work week, ugh.  Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Hey Lu..fantastic shoutout!  How you and Janine to it is just amazing :-P  I'm doing good to just remember who everybody is,let alone what they are doing LOL

Lon finally got ahold of the doc, or one of her assistants, and they told him to go get some Sudafed, from behind the counter and I found some prescription cough medicine that was his in the medicne closet...so he finally had a decent nite's sleep. He's doing much better today...now I just need to keep him tied down so he doesn't think he can do a bunch of stuff...and then relapse...grrrrrrr...

I admit I got lazy yesterday after my plans for Asparagus Festival got squashed...but after seeing the news last nite and the hord of people who were there...maybe it was better we didn't get to go...soooo crowded LOL  Today will be cleaning out the closet for sure...got new stuff to hang up and pants to hem...and need to decide what I can take to the Northern Calif meet up next weekend ^_^  I am soooo looking forward to that and meeting people from my neck of the woods.  And tomorrow I get to meetup with my favorite Angel...Barb!! ;-)

Time to get moving..hope everyone has something planned that is just for you!  All of you are just so SPECIAL!!

Well, it's no longer morning but Good Day to the Cali group!

The wind let up (I figured it might) and gave us a pretty nice morning. We skipped church (Yeah, I'll probably go to hell for that but we did it anyway) and had breakfast and hit the Festival's second day. Seems the rest of the world did the same thing. Good thing they have ATM machines available cuz I ran out of money (cuz I didn't actually think the festival would be wind free). LOL. Some walking and retail therapy overcomes that wind any day.

I think we walked 2 or 3 miles and then went to eat at Texas Cattle Company for burgers while they're still cheap. I pulled that half pound beauty off the bun and ate it like a steak. Sadly, I ate the whole patty. No fries, no bun...no drink..just 8 ounces (before cooking) of lean burger meat. I may not eat again till tomorrow. LOL. That was four hours ago and I'm still not hungry, which is weird.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Good evening Lu and Cali Friends,

Great shout out Lulu!  You are welcome to come up to Nor Cal for the party, the more the better eh?  Yep, you're right I'm sure Steve cheated at dominoes cuz I should have won!  LOL

Today was pretty quiet.  I made some banana bread for breakfast (actually to get rid of the bananas that were getting icky) and Ron loved that.  Then I helped him with his resume.  Other than that, it was faily quiet.  Now I am off to make dinner, geez I sound like Suzie Homemaker huh!  LOL

Hope everyone had a great day and evening too.

Hugs,
Barb

Great post Lu . . . thanks for the encouragement . . . I know about  raising the money . . . but i'm getting there one step at a time . . .I'm going to nickel and dime my office to death with my food sales .. .I've got about 20 weeks to go . . . so even making $50 a week will put me over the top for the 3 Day . . . I paid for the bridge walk (it was only $39) . . . and for the Arthritis ($100) . . . I can't go asking people for more money - but I'm committed to making sure I get the 3 Day covered.
