Hello Everyone

I know what your thinking, where has she been?   Well I've been busy working, and getting on with life.  Problem with that is I have not fallen off the wagon, but found that after I hit the one-year mark, I tended to RELAX!   BIG PROBLEM, I have not gained any weight, but am scared that by being so relaxed and not keeping the surgery or details of the DAILY MUST DO's on the front of my priorities that I will eventually not be successful.

I would love 20 more pounds and have to make ROUTINE exercise a priority, walking the dog at night is something, but nothing like what I was doing before my year anniversary came. I do do water aerobics 2X a week, but that's about all besides walking.

I appreciate any suggesstions/encouragement you can give... I hink I am too relaxed!!

Debbie,

First of all congratulations on your success over this past year.  It sounds like you know what you have do do.  I cannot speak with any amount of certainty because I am only 4 mos post op but I can tell you that I am planning to continue what I am doing now.... journaling what I eat.  For me, this is the only thing that can keep me totally aware of what I am putting in my mouth, and yes, I am brutally honest with myself.  Fitday is free but I recommend buying the upgrade to take full advantage of what it can do for you.  I also commit to attending my local support group and make sure I stay fully engaged with OH support, lunches, meeting etc.  The more I can surround myself with people who I can support and get support from the better off I am going to be.

What ever you do, you cannot let your guard down because this is how we came to needing the surgery in the first place.  I think I speak for most folks on our great Cali board that we're here to support you in any way possible.  Make one of the upcoming lunches (we're having the Nor Cal lunch this coming Sat.  See earlier post), do the 5 day pouch test if you're in need to get back to basics.

You've done great, and will continue to do so... believe!

Hugs,
Barb

Hi Debbie great to see you post. I think everyone "relaxes" a little more than we should after the one year mark!... By the way you look fabulous!!
Five day pound test is a strict 5 day diet that you can do a search on the web site. It has help a few peole on the forum to get back on track.
Get to see how well you have done. But don't beat yourself up...just get back on trace. I know you can do it.

HUGS

debbie:

Congratulations on the 1 yr aniversary.  You just need to get out of a rut and get back on track. I honestly believe that if you follow what has already been suggested you will be fine.

I hope that I am as successfull once I have my surgery.

Hugs
