Good Tuesday Morning Cali

Okay I am a pissed off unhappy camper...look what time it is and I have been up for a while. Dang Jeff got an allergy coughing fit going on and woke me up!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Anywho...how did everyone's Monday go? I had a I hate my life kind of day...or was that I hate being a teacher kind of day?

I hate to complain, but why do kids act the way they do? I am telling you I had one student who was downright indignant about her assignment that was do at the beginning of class yesterday stating that she was absent on Friday which I replied to her...too bad...you knew it was due on the day before. So even though I gave my 4 classes a bit of a repreave and said they could turn it in by Friday on their own time earning no more than a "C" instead of the "F" I had promised them, some of them were still bent out of shape about the C. I am like wow ungrateful little^%*^((&(&)%&$$! I also had them write about why they thought it was okay not to do their work...I got one response back saying that I expect too much out them....I was floored!

So that is my vent at 2:30 in the morning....now for a morning chuckle:

I know that LuLu has posted...it is not good news about DD...so if you all will please keep DD and LuLU in your prayers and thoughts today....lets pray that there is going to be some miracle and the doctors will be able to repair her!

Chris you lucky dawg going to Yosemite! I love that place and spent a lot of time there as the kids were growing up and in recent years too. One of these days I am going to get on my  motorcycle and get on up there again. Jeff and I would go there frequently on our motorcycles when we lived in the bay area...it was considered a short day trip for us LOL. BTW...where is the site for your 3 day walk...you can PM about it or repost it for people who want to help...please!

Rhonda how is your ankle and everything else doing? Like you would have been so up to driving after taking that spill on Sunday...you really are a crazy girl and need to have your own head examed!!! Look who needs to take care of who!

Monica how did your presentation and observation go? I hate being observed and if I had been observed yesterday...OMG is all I can say!! I was ready to throw the towel in!

Wow Jill your youngest getting a drivers license...no need for the mom shuttle any longer!!! LOL I am telling you when my younger son got his license and the two of them took off down the road with him driving...I knew my life would never be the same as I knew it! LOL Congrats on your final divorce...I am sure you are quite happy to have that behind you!

Hey Michele....how did that birthday party go??? I am sure it was a success!

Linda how are you feeling? I am so sorry that you have had to go through all this stricture problems! I told you once and will say it again...one day you will look back on this and laugh!

Nancy how are things going at work? I think things have been a little crazy for you lately! How is the pouchie doing? How is your husband feeling too?

Joy how is the remodeling going on? I always hate my world turned upside down for awhile when doing stuff like that, but love it when it is over with!

Barb...any news on the approval of your position yet? Waiting is terrible for sure! FIL doing okay? I think it is so cool that you are surprising your hubby with a trip for his graduation...he really does deserve it! Oh BTW...I got all the disability stuff in motion! Thanks for helping me because I did call back and got through to the right channels...I even filed my claim already over the phone!

Robin you crack me up...I do the same thing with my kids and grandkids now...get away...go away....what do I have to do...buy them something or see everything that would work for them. I am glad you and your hubby got to spend some time together!

Janine, doing better on the ankle I think.  I have to volunteer at the school this morning for testing so that should be interesting to say the least.  Test of the foot.  Family coming in on Thursday for my husbands birthday.  He is an old guy!  lol  He is going to be 56.  They always bring him a T-shirt from Dever Broncos or something silly like that.  They are nice though and the kids love them so that is all that is important.  Today I am just doing the school thing and then back to laundry doing.  It was a beautiful day here yesterday and I prettymuch  did nothing because of my foot.  I hit my head really hard too and messed up my arm but I know in another day or too I will be fine.  No biggie.  I hope you all have a great day and enjoy.  TAke care.

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

Maybe it was just that kind of day Janine.  I literally sat down for my last period yesterday and refused to teach them.  They will have to learn that they don't get to waste my time.  They are going to be in for a rude awakening.  The play that Kaiser did on std's and Aids was great and the kids seemed to really enjoy it.  They were super nice and handled the kids great.  They are cool with coming back every year. Unfortunately for my school they sceduled my observation between the two performances and arrived to my class before I got there and never came back.  So no observation for me.  Can you tell I'm crushed.

I stood in line yesterday to get my mom a piece of the new KFC grilled chicken.  Can you say yuck.  El pollo loco has nothing to worry about in my book.  But just in case my mom wants to go there and get their free chicken today.  She's so funny.

Janine - I did get the picture and I will definitely print it out for Rhonda....I meant to write you back and forgot...oh well call me blonde.  As for the guy inthe picture?  LOLOL he is a new friend I met last week and he came to coffee to see me.  And are you all ready for this...I have a date with him tonight....now I think I need some coaching on this whole dating thing. Its been a hundred years since I have dated.  Oh well baby steps.  He is very nice and - he is a high school teacher.....hmmmm what can I expect from a teacher - do tell?  Anyway he is a great guy, very nice so we shall see.

As for me today just the dreaded dentist appt - and hopefully will be all done with dental work for a while.  YUCK...I just hate going to the dentist

I continue to keep Lu and DD in my prayers....awful to say the least but Janine you said it all...God doesn't give up more than we can handle although at times it is hard to see that. 

So now it is time to go read the paper and have another cup of java.

Sorry about your students. If you can figure out how to "reach" them, surely let us know. I know I can't get my son (and there's only one of him) to understand that doing your work pays off..He's totally bored with school and just waits to do his wor****il the last minute...maybe it's the thrill of it ( WTF?) . I'm just clueless. He'll be 25 and still in high school. Stupid. Well, he's not stupid but just lazy? I have no clue.

It's cold, I hate it. I want 100+ temps and I want them NOW...Freakin PMS is driving me nuts. When the hell is menopause suppose to work in my favor? SUCKS. Husbands, children...facebook, myspace..I think I'm closing the laptop now and walking away.
