Dear Katt,

Got my fingers crossed for you (I'd cross my eyes too if that would help)!  Sending you good thoughts and prayers that you get this!!

Good Morning Cali,

Janine- Thank you for the shout out.  The running is going well with the exception of IT band problem in my right hip and a ligament problem in my left foot.  As far as the foot is concerned, I might be over compensating for the 2 ankle fractures I had in 1995 -96.   I went to the dr. yesterday regarding this and the weak ligament in my left foot.  The physical therapist had given me some execises to do twice a day to help strengthen them.  I will start this evening. The PT said that buying speciallized insoles and stretching after every run were good things to do.

I ran this morning for 2.28 miles and overall felt really good.  When I felt a little pain, I simply slowed down.

I am "thinking about" training for a marathon.  I have been reading Marathons for Mortals (Bingham)  & Marathon: You Can Do It  (Galloway).

Janine- I am so sorry to hear that those bratty kids think that you are too harsh on them.  That is the problem with today's youth, they want everything easy.  They have yet to learn that in the Real World, nothing is easy.

Other than that, nothing else is happening.

More Peace and Love,
Kim

Good afternoon Janine and Cali,

I am back from Sin city, it was nice to get away, but everything that could go wrong did, spent 6 hours in emergency with my father and my niece closed her hand in the door and riped her fingernail off!  Not sure if the hotel will let us back with all of the security reports we had to file!

Anyway aback to the grind stone.  This is the first time I had a break since 6:30 this morning.  Time off is not always worth it.
I did manage to lose some weight.

Afternoon Janine and Cali gang!
boy, since I have returned to work, it seems I'm way behind in keeping up with all of you LOL  I feel for you Janine, with the kids: weather has turned warm/hot, spring fever is driving them nuts...only weeks away before summer vacation...and teachers are still putting 'demands' on their time ;-P  Hang in there, girl...your 'freedom' is just around the corner ^_^

So my stress from work is showing, huh?  I'm right in the middle of our busy time: I just completed my annual membership billing and still stuffing envelopes to get the invoices in the mail, we have 2 seminars either taking place now or coming up in a matter of weeks and then June really reves up ending with our annual convention/trade show which is in Hawaii this year.  I'll just get back from there and have 5 sets of books to close for year end with income taxes due to be filed by October.  I'll slow down somewhere around November LOL

My Monday was great!  I got to visit in person with my Angel..Barb!  We discovered we are going to be in Maui at the same time in June and have made plans to meet up for dinner to celebrate Ron's graduation...that is going to be sooooo cool!  Hubby is getting better...as long as I can keep him tied down till he is completely over this crud.  We have a busy weekend so he needs to take care of himself now so he can be his cheerful friendly self this weekend at our carving show ^_)

Well, time to get back to stuffing envelopes :-(  Lu and DD you are both in my prayers...trying times for you both.  Please keep us informed.

Good Morning Cali Peeps -
Glad it's Tuesday, not sure how I actually got through yesterday. Stagecoach was a blast!!! Can't wait for next year. Although I did suffer an injury (sprained ankle) seems par for the course for our group. My cousin tore a ligament in her knee at an Alan Jackson concert we all went to. The X-ray shows no fracture but I'm wrapped and on crutches if it's not improved within a week I'll go back for an MRI and a referral to an orthopedic surgeon because I could have damaged some tendons or ligaments. It happened late Sunday night and had to walk over 2 miles on it to get to our car. Sure that didn't help. Regardless I had a blast. I went ahead and posted some pics as 3 months progress, I hope they will suffice as I'm still not one to just take pics of myself.
On top of all the fun I had got some serious attention from a 21 year old with our group. Seriously that's only 4 years older than my oldest son but it was great because he loved to dance so, I was in my glory!!!

Janine - Great shout out. I certainly know which post to read when I fall behind!! Loved the quote!!! And sorry about the kids giving you a hard time. I can't imagine how much time teachers donate to teach and to not be appreciated even after giving them a break. Sheeeesh!!

Lulu - I sure hope today is looking up for you and DD. And know my thoughts and prayers are with you. The 3 years my mom was terminally ill took a toll on me I can never describe, oh yes I can a loss and then gain of 100 pounds. Try to be strong and be sure and take care of yourself during this trying time.

Rhonda - You are so amazing I don't know how you do it with all your kiddos!! And sounds like you also suffered an injury on Sunday. I sure hope it gets better real soon don't want you to miss out on those hikes. I would love to get together sometime. I love Wrightwood and spend all my time in our little town.

Maureen - I am so glad you had a good time. Did you enjoy the people watching as much as I did?

Monica - Lucky you getting out of the observation, nothing like dodging a bullet!! Enjoy that little girl!!

Chris - Glad to hear your seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with work and you'll be getting some help back. Yosemite here you come!!

Jean - All this talk of a boy I just had to go back and take a look at the pics. Nice!!! Hope the date goes great!! I'm sorry I missed coffee on Saturday I really wanted to go and meet everyone I read so much about face to face. Hopefully next time.

Jules - Goo dluck at the docs. You have done so well I'm sure he won't be too hard on you.

Barb & Katt - I am keeping my fingers crossed for both of you on the job fronts. And sendingup a few prayers just for safe measure.

Robin - Isn't it fun raising boys in the desert with so much for them to do? They are dolls by the way definitely boys through & through!! Congrats on the weight loss you have been doing great and what a physical difference in such a short time.
BTW - How long have you been in the high desert? We moved up there when I was 13, graduated from Hesperia High and still jump over for all of our movie and mall outings. I am hoping to also catch one of the get togethers soon.

I know that's not everyone, but sure hope you all are doing great!!!
Have a great Tuesday afternoon!!

Heather

Happy almost Wednesday to all!
Thanks for the shoot out Janine.  I am feeling great.  Honestly, the only pain I have from my run is the sunburn on my shoulders.  Nothing else hurts surprisingly.  I am so ready for May 25 and to run this marathon.

Life is good.  Work is good.  Lil man is good.  Really I can't complain one bit.

Hope everyone is doing well.
