Need to vent !
I was hurt 2 years ago at work and have to back injuries as a result.Im in constant pain and have been told by several doctors that my back will never get better but if i losr weight and never lift anything again i can keep it from getting worse.I was called to a meeting on wensdat to settle my case and told i would get no medical or settlement of any kind. The reason is,the last doctor i was seeing was a weightist. The very first visit i had with him he asked me what i was there for and i told him for a back injury and he told me his back would hurt too if he were as obese as me.From that day on he harrasses me about my weight and in all my files he wrote down that there was nothing wrong with me except i needed to lose weight. i called my lawyers and asked for a Dr. change at 6 times but was told not to worry about it i have medical proof about my back and his opinion abiout my weight doesnt mean a thing.Well they were wrong, the AME had to go by this doctors reports.Im so upset ive been in tears for 4 days. Two long years of fighting, constant back pain,no money to pay for back surgery.Im totally screwed.I just cant beleive this is happening.I was also informed by my primary doctor that my insurance through my husbands job wont cover any of these injuries because they were workers comp injuries.I feel like crawling under a rock and dying !
I don't understand.? Listen I am living proof that losing weight does not help your back if there is a problem with it. My back is WORSE since I lost weight, so BS! U need to get a better attorney and get one now. If you need the name of one, I have one that has been working on my case for my knees for years and years. Listen I don't quite understand, if you get hurt at work, it's workman's comp, there is no and if's about it. I had a QME for my side and for their side, if nothing else, I will have medical the rest of my life on my knee, that means if 20 years from now I need to have another replacement, the County will pay for it. Send me a pm and I will talk more to you about it.
